Travel Purpose: business

Positive: We loved everything about the cozy cottage! It was very clean & spacious! Host thought of so many amenities, everything brand new! Board games, coffee selection, fully stocked kitchen (bring your own food) soaps & lotions.. we didn’t have to bring a thing! Location was great! Close to shopping & restaurants. Very quiet location, off the main drag & away from the hustle & bustle. Close enough to many of the coastal towns for food & shopping. About an hours drive to Freeport. 20 mins to half hours drive depending on traffic to the nearer towns like York, Kennebunk & Ogunquit’s Marginal way. Loved that it was dog friendly. I have a small dog & she loved looking out the windows at the world passing her by and having the quiet space where If she barked, she wasn’t bothering anyone. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Maine. 10 out of 10! Host also owns a local restaurant which we visited and was excellent! Huge, delicious portions for price & extremely friendly staff!

Negative: Bedrooms are a little on the smaller side, I could see it being tight for couples. Was missing closet hangers, but host brought them over for us while we were out. The rest of the cottage has plenty of room to spread out! The beach is right across the street, but Maine beach front is private property. You have to walk to the 2 nearest public access points to walk along the beach or drive to the public beach if staying for the day. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit of a walk on a hot day. One way Is 1/4 mile, the other about 2.5 city blocks. If you have kids in tow, drive to the public beach.
