This unique home has a warmth and hominess that goes with all the richness and color of the southwest. Located at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains is a peaceful little Tucson suburb with a laid-back vibe. The elevation is slightly higher down here where most winters we get a quaint amount of snow. Here, you are located central to places you may want to explore while visiting Tucson’s beautiful Southwest region! Our beautiful desert is incredibly diverse with an abundance of plant and animal life. A hikers dream, with hundreds of scenic hiking trails! Saguaro National Park East is only 18 miles north with some of Tucson’s best! Or, take a scenic drive through the rolling hills south to Sonoita’s wineries, only a 40 minute drive from our home. Nearby Sonoita, is Patagonia Lake, which is also a popular destination. Not only for enjoying year-round fishing, but hosts one of Arizonas best locations for bird watching! Take a day trip down to historic Tombstone where the infamous O.K. Corral shootout in 1881 took place! And from there, a short 20min drive will bring you to the historic mining town of Bisbee. A great spot for walking through the towns streets for shopping and dining. About our home: Our home is in a safe tightnit neighborhood with plenty of parking. Security cameras are located at the front entrance of the house and at the side gate entrance to the backyard. Our spacious kitchen has all the amenities you need for cooking and dining in. The private outdoor living space is lively quaint, nicely shaded, and great for enjoying time outside. Equipped with a dining table for four, gas grill, nicely appointed deck for lounging, and a lovely landscaped yard. The large master suite has a king size bed, walk-in closet with a full size dresser, flatscreen TV, and private bath with walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed with a designated work space and flatscreen TV. The guest bath is just down the hall and is equipped with a shower and bathtub. Adjacent to the laundry room you’ll have access to our garage which has been converted to a gym! It’s an additional fun space with a shuffle board, couch, and flatscreen TV as well. And the living room area welcomes you right in with its lovely charm and eclectic character. There’s plenty of comfortable seating and is great for movie night or reading a book from our library. Summary: We’ve stayed in Tucson annually for the past 5 years, and this home is by far the best! The backyard is green and filled with plants and a tree! Enjoying the yard is easy since there are three different seating “areas”, which means regardless of the sun, shade or wind there is a comfortable spot for everyone. Inside, the house is decorated cozy AND stylish, and it is impeccably clean. The host uses environmentally friendly cleaning products, as well. It is about 15-20 min outside of the city, but easy highway traveling if you want to go into Tucson. There is an Italian and pizza place, directly across the street, that is a phenomenal place to eat.

Summary: This house was so comfortable and absolutely charming! Much attention to detail, loved the decor and especially the outdoor space and garden. . A lot of thoughtful details, like coffee and our requested creamer. The property is in a subdivision with houses nearby, so some car noise in the mornings. Otherwise, perfect!

Summary: The home was immaculate with luxurious/comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes,utensils, and appliances.The Wifi and large screen TV worked well, and there were thoughtful touches like phone cords and HDMI cables supplied. The location is nice because it is close to Tucson, but away from the city traffic and noise. We especially enjoyed the enclosed backyard garden area with comfortable seating and dining space and the gas grill. A true gem!The host was very pleasant and attentive, while being respectful of our privacy. Great communication as needed. Check in and check out was simple.

Summary: stayed at the property for over a month, 12 of those days we paid for and did not even stay at the house because we had a side trip booked. The house is beautiful. Perfectly kept. we had been there for four days and then left for 12 days. Owner found it necessary to come in while we were gone to then look around the place and send us a listing of things she didn’t like. From too many things that we brought in to moving chairs around. Made accommodations to appease her. Then found out she kept coming in without our knowledge to check in on us when we got back. And then kept coming in with our knowledge because she had things she had to do in the house. We just wanted to rent a house and be left alone, that did not happen. Also, because of the time we were there, we wanted to hire a maid to clean up her house for her. We live in a house where we have made that comes in biweekly. And wanted the same in Arizona. We were told that she didn’t trust me to clean our house. But we could hire her for 100 to clean the house. All we asked for was the two bathrooms and kitchen cleaned and it took her two days. We could’ve hired another maid for 60 and they would’ve been done in three hours. Ironic that she won’t allow a cleaner in her house that she doesn’t know but rents to complete strangers. Once again, everything was very well. Kept pretty neighborhood was good other than one obnoxious car that started every morning at 5:20 AM without a muffler. That’s no fault of the owner.

Summary: The house was perfect for us. The right size, a wonderful walk-in shower, good kitchen, good wifi. It's a little remote from any grocery stores and restaurants, but a nice neighborhood. Joyce was excellent to work with.
