Summary: The property is a very old rustic farmhouse with lots of character, as we expected from the photographs. It is very rural and quiet, just what we wanted. The swimming pool was lovely and the children really enjoyed playing in it. The garden is enormous with lots of places for the children to explore.

Summary: What a great venue, house and pool! Would recommend to a family/friends group. A well equipped kitchen. Bedlinen needed to be provided to fit the covers. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, especially time by the pool.

Summary: We visited as a group of three families with teenagers (13 people total) for 8 days. The tieners occupied a gite while the adults occupied the main house. The houses were rustic, clean and well equipped. There is plenty of space and shade on the terrace and gardens, with an outdoor cooking area. There are extensive woodlands, gardens with fruit trees. We cycled extensively in the neighbourhood. There is a bakery 15 minutes cycle away and other shops and supermarket in nearby Exceduil. The only min point was effectively no wifi. We made do with sporadic 3G to get local info. Kids grumbled a bit at first because streaming is a no-go, but the great swimming pool, games and generally great environment meant that they quickly moved on! Mr Simon and his wife were very welcoming and friendly. They accommodated an extra member of our party without problem. They spoke English sufficiently that communication was fine. Bottom line: very highly recommended.
