3 Bedroom Cottage in Algarinejo

El Tajil is a rural house located next to a stream, 50 meters from a waterfall. It is in an old crossroads, next to what was a sale through which travelers who came to Algarinejo traveled following the 'Vía Pecuaria de Loja'. Next to it there is a natural cave of about 50 m2, inhabited since the Neolithic, where you can see formations such as stalactites.
It is an accommodation with the comforts of this century, hidden among the secrets that an impressive enclave hides. Search its stones for fossils of animals or plants, rest between the murmur of the water and immerse yourself in a world full of emotions. Enjoy spectacular walks or bike rides in the center of Andalucia.
Kitchen with dishwasher, 2-door American-style refrigerator, barbecue, parking, swimming pool (5 x 4 m) with night lighting, open from May 1 to October 30. 4-seater Jacuzzi, Colombian hammocks, WIFI throughout the property. Rooms with heat pump. Heating with radiators using a gas boiler
Terrace with great views of the river bank, from which you can see the waterfall about 50 m from the house, and hear the water fall from the house.
We also have a leisure area for children to play with a terrace and a house half made in a cave and half made of wood, with games and where the youngest children will enjoy the most.
For older children, we have: table tennis, table football, dart board, chess, Parcheesi, checkers, cards, or their favorite NETFLIX series on the smart TV in the living room.
We also have on the property a natural cave in the rock inhabited since the Neolithic period, which is accessed from the house itself (in the process of rehabilitation and conditioning for a small apartment).
Possibility of renting two bicycles for excursions around the house.

■ Pets are admitted, with a supplement of € 20 per stay. It is not allowed to leave them alone inside the house without someone in charge of them. They will not be able to enter the rooms or climb onto chairs, armchairs and sofas.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay here. The pool was great, views were beautiful, the cave playhouse adorable…I could go on. The house was charming and had a rustic feel, but had everything you needed (great ac, fridge with ice!). It’s beautifully decorated, very clean, and stayed comfortable even on days where it reached 40 degrees. The WiFi was fast enough for us to take some video calls. The host was lovely. We’ll be back!

Summary: This property was perfect-relaxing but with something for everyone to do so everyone was entertained. Really well thought through for a family. The casa was supervly xleaned and equipped and tne owners wonderful to deal with. A special place to be from the cool dawn until well into the warm nights

Summary: Lovely time spent by the fire and in the hot tub even in cooler weather. Nice local food including tasty paella delivery. Would have been nice to know in advance that we needed bottled water for drinking.

Summary: The house is absolutely lovely and exactly like on the pictures. There is almost nothing around - very few neighbors. So perfect for chilling and relaxing. The host is absolutley nice, always responsive to any messages and absolutley helpful with hints, recommendations etc. The nights are a little noisy due to the neighbor dogs. But people with deep sleep shouldn't have any problems. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the pool and the table tennis the most. There is not a good phone signal, but the wlan worked very well. The river is very close and really lovely. The waterfall right next to the house was dried out for most of our stay. After the rain it was extremely impressive though. We stayed for two weeks. And it was just amazing. We can only recommend it!

Summary: We had wonderful time at this wonderful house. It is beautifully decorated, very well equiped, the owner stayed in contact with us through all the time. The walks around were a real adventure. Lovely place to stay with children, specially in summer. The video we received with directions how to find the place is essential! Play room came handy when weather was a bit cold (our trip was in the middle of murch). Each room had a airconditioner with warm up function, which was very helpfull. I would recommend this place to a familly or a group of friends.

Summary: Sorry I can't say this in Spanish, but we just had a lovely stay at this house. It has all you would want: nice pool, jacuzzi, very tidy, beautiful view over the Andalusian hills. Well situated between Malaga, Cordoba and Granada. The owners are very friendly and 100% service-minded. Recommended.

Summary: We've stayed in cottages all over the UK & Europe & this is top league. Spotlessly clean, great central location for Andalucía & lovely hosts who clearly want guests to enjoy their stay. We stayed as a couple but would thoroughly recommend it for larger groups - & children would be in wonderland with the amenities & games & the caves to explore. Only gave it 5* because 6* wasn't available. Loved it.

Summary: This holiday was a triumph from start to finish. We were met by Elie on our arrival and he explained everything to us and gave us his contact details in case we needed him. The house was absolutely wonderful and had everything we required. The girls were so impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was which made everything so easy for us. There were 4 adults and two young children (who just loved the pool and the cave to play in). the Villa was close to the road but we felt that there was nobody else around. We have, in the past, found some villas in Spain which were difficult to get to but not this one. The village was a joy as well and so friendly. Certainly a great place to come if you need to re-charge your batteries.
