This beautiful farmhouse is located in the charming village of Wapse in Drenthe. The holiday home occupies part of this typical Drenthe farmhouse. Guests have access to a garden with outdoor furniture and play equipment. The garden is fully fenced, so both small children and pets can run around safely.
From the house, you can enjoy wonderful hiking and cycling trails, for example, in the nearby, beautiful Drents-Friesewold nature reserve. In Appelscha, you can even walk the barefoot path. This area is wonderful for walking, cycling, horseback riding, and carriage driving. In Drents-Friesewold, you can take a covered wagon ride. Well-worth a visit are the towns of Appelscha, Assen, Westerbork, or the famous Giethoorn. Also worth a visit are the National Basketweaving Museum in Noordwolde or the Valse Kunst Museum in Vledder. For children, a visit to the indoor play paradise Speelstad Oranje is a fun day out. Friesland is a short distance away, and Groningen is also easily accessible. A wonderful place in a lovely accommodation.

Summary: Mooi en gezellig huis met alles er op en aan. Prachtig mooi uitzicht over de weilanden en schaapjes. Afgezette tuin voor de honden. Aardige beheerder/ eigenaar die in het huis er achter woont. Maar er is alle privacy in en rond het huis.

Summary: Der Vermieter ist sehr gastfreundlich, nett(spricht aber nur niederländisch und englisch) und hilfsbereit. Er gab uns sehr gute Ausflugstipps. Jedoch waren wir von der Unterkunft geschockt. Die Bilder in der Anzeige stimmen nicht mit dem heutigen Zustand überein und vermitteln einen ganz anderen Eindruck. Die Bilder stammen vermutlich aus der Zeit in der die Unterkunft frisch renoviert wurde. Die Wohnung ist dunkel und muffig. Leider kann man keine Bilder der Bewertung beifügen. Das Bad, was für uns der entscheidende Punkt war, um dort zu buchen, muss wohl selbst renoviert worden sein. Es ist sehr schlecht ausgeführt worden. Die Fliesen sind krumm gesägt und kippen teilweise aus der Wand. Die Fugen sehr unterschiedlich verfugt und sowohl die ebenerdige Dusche als auch das Waschbecken haben die falsche Neigung, so dass das Wasser über Stunden steht und nicht abfließt. Es riecht sehr muffig und ist nur mit gekippten Fenster zu ertragen. An der Decke sieht es bereits nach Schimmel aus. Die Stahltüre ist auch total fransig und schräg abgesägt. Im übrigen sind alle Innentüren aus Stahl, was eine ungemütliche Atmosphäre schafft. Im Wohnzimmer ist der gesamte Boden etwas schräg (man meint es geht den Berg hoch), was jetzt nicht so schlimm wäre, jedoch ist der Belag nur PVC in Holzoptik und hat schon eine große Welle, bei der man stolpert. Von der Wand löst sich teilweise die Tapete. Die Küche ist auch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Der Ofen und die Spülmaschine sind nicht fest und verschieben sich beim bedienen. Zudem war der Ofen innen total versifft und wir haben diesen erstmal von einer dicken Schicht befreien müssen um ihn überhaupt nutzen zu können (extra Backofenspray gekauft). Den größten Schock fanden wir im Schlafzimmer vor. Die Hocker, welche als Nachttisch dienten, waren mit Schimmelsporen übersät. Schlimm sind die mickrigen Fenster. Ca. 40x40cm. Es war sehr dunkel. Diese Fenster würden keine Fluchtmöglichkeit bei z. B. Brand bieten. Dürfte bei uns gar nicht als Wohnraum genutzt werden. Wir schliefen immer bei offener Tür zur Sicherheit. Hinzu kommt noch, dass die Fenster dreckig und ecklig sind. Im Schlafzimmer unserer Tochter roch es ebenfalls sehr muffig evtl. auch durch Schimmel. Wir haben uns schon gewundert, dass unsere Tochter den ganzen Urlaub niesen musste. Zu Hause angekommen war es wieder vorbei. (Hoffentlich bleiben keine Schäden zurück) . Die Matratzen sind mit Flecken übersäht und extrem weich. Das WLAN brach auch des öfteren ab. TV Programme auf deutsch gab es nur 5. Es gibt keinerlei Rollläden. Höchstens bei den winzigen Fenstern in den Schlafzimmer Verdunklungsrollos. Die Eingangstüre ist eine Glas-Schiebe-Terrassentür. Vom Aussenbereich waren wir ebenfalls enttäuscht. Viele Möbel sind veraltet. Ein Stehtisch konnte gar nicht benutzt werden, da er extrem wackelte. Die Kinderfahrzeuge total verblasst. Einen schönen Schirm gab es auch nicht, der Rasen wurde nicht gemäht und der große Garten wurde völlig sich selbst überlassen. Nichts gepflegt oder schön angelegt. Das ist sehr schade und enttäuschend, denn so konnte man nicht gemütlich im Garten verweilen. Man freut sich monatelang auf den ersehnten Urlaub, gibt einiges an Geld aus und findet dann so eine Unterkunft vor. An dieser Unterkunft wurde vermutlich seit Renovierung nichts mehr gemacht und wird von mal zu mal weiter herunter gewirtschaftet. Wir können und werden diese Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen. Leider.

Summary: Het verbouwen van de schuur naar vakantie verblijf/woning is niet perfect uitgevoerd. Een niet egale vloer en scheve deuren. Het geeft wel het gevoel van vakantie bij een boer. Mooie omgeving en veel historie.

Summary: Young couple with 1 dog for Easter Holidays (4 days) About the host The host is friendly and tried to help with everything. We couldn't communicate in Dutch so he made an afford to speak in English and explain everything! They shared the same love for dogs that we have, and presented to us one of their cuties. About the house A completely country house with a lot of nature and sound of birds. The house was clean and fully equipped, the kitchen is well equipped with everything that is needed. The bathroom is spacious. The best part of the house is definitely the big garden, fully fenced with a lot of space for dogs and nice tables to enjoy some meals outside. There's only one down side about the garden, there's a field behind the garden with friendly sheep, so hopefully your dog will befriend them. Down side: Lack of Privacy The owner lives in the back of the house and there was two kids that most of the times played right next to the rented house. So, when they were there a lot of noise could be heard, roller skate, scooter, balls, and all the associated noise that comes from young children. Kids being kids sometimes they also looked through the windows in the living room that led to the side of the house (where the space was common to both houses) with see through curtains and next to the toilet. All in all, the house was perfect for what we were searching for our dog, but in terms of privacy it lack a bit.
