Summary: Although this could be a beautiful house, it is not represented by the photographs. The house is in need of substantive refurbishment. I believe the photographs are many years old. The gardens are now so overgrown and a dumping ground for garden rubbish. The pool is very nice but the plants in tubs are all dead. The pool would benefit from more regular cleaning. The seating area is very nice. The chairs on the patio outside of the house are dangerous due to broken metal bases. The inside of the house has lovely character and lots of space. However, not all of the toilets work and there was a regular blockage in the showers which required a drain blockage liquid two or three times during our stay. The showers were not as fresh as I would like. All of the bathrooms need refurbishment and maintenance. The kitchen is very roomy but again needs refurbishment. Wobbly table legs, wobbly chairs feel a little unsafe. The oven was difficult to use as the controls are so worn you cannot work out temperatures or programs. The owner did respond very quickly and marked the oven with felt tip pen so that we could use it. We did have to complain about a dog entering the property. This belonged to a neighbouring property where the owner was using the entrance to this property and leaving his gate open. There seemed to be another way the dog entered but we were unable to find it. The owner did say that this should not be happening but it continued to the end of our holiday. We were concerned about this as there were young children in our group. In summary this house has such potential but in real need of a complete refurbishment.
