Positive: We loved the property and its location. Some reviews have mentioned it’s dated but we loved that and the olde world feel. My granddaughter thought it looked like the Pevensey house from Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe 😊 Beds and pillows were so comfy. Views from first floor front bedrooms over the estuary were amazing. We had everything we needed and would return in future.

Negative: Carpet in downstairs toilet is a no no. It was badly stained even although toilet itself was clean. It needs a bit of linoleum which would be way more hygienic! Carpet in large lounge and sun room also needs replaced as staining really detracts from the character of this beautiful old house.

Positive: This is our second year at this beautiful house. It has so much character and such a lovely location. We have fond memories . Just some areas of the house looking a bit tired in places and some cooking utensils had been put back dirty . But this won't stop us from returning again

Positive: Location is incredible - overlooking the Solway Firth - and the house has so much character. Very cosy and comfortable in beautiful village of Kippford. A real treat to be able to stay there.

Negative: I found the impersonal nature of the 'pass the keys' service unsatisfactory. We had a problem with a blocked drain and also wanted a little later check out - but communication was very difficult.
