This area, of the Peloponnese, has many ancient sites and beautiful towns - the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplio, Argos and Corinth. This Greek villa is set in a quiet location with Olive groves to the front and rear.

On the ground floor the hall, dining area, kitchen and living area are open plan with large patio doors onto a spacious balcony with magnificent views across the sea. The kitchen has a full oven with ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Also on this floor is a bedroom and large bathroom. Summary: Host, who lives on the property, graciously provided food on arrival and toured us around the area. The panoramic view of the nearby village and coast are spectacular.

Summary: We had a very great stay at Villa Aspro. Despite the extreme heat outside it was good inside. The view is really awesome. We were with 6 and a baby and we had plenty of room for all of us. We were warmly received by the owners and they welcomed us with fresh fruit and drinks. If you go in summertime when it's hot, you need a car. The beaches are nearby and also many restaurants. If you want to eat something delicious: order the imam baildi. We were here during the Epidaurusfestival and we went to see a play at the ancient theatre. Quite an experience! Tip: don't trust the map apps, they send you the last bit on a non-existent road. Follow the Nik Ptidi road until Hotel Angelica Villas, turn right up the road, after the first road on the right take the 2nd exit, which looks like a driveway, but leads to Villa Aspro. This is the 3rd villa next to Villa Balmour

Summary: This was an amazing villa in a stunning elevated location overlooking the beach in Epidauros. The villa is spacious with a large open plan living area and large balconies on two levels at the front. There are three air conditioned bedrooms, two en suite and one with a bathroom next door to it. It was not particularly easy to find at first and access is up an incredibly steep 250m rough concrete track. This would present challenges to anybody with the slightest mobility issues. A car is essential. The upstairs balcony off the 2 bedrooms was not particularly clean and needs some work to remove the bird and bat droppings. That said, the main balcony is where you spend the most of your time. This was cleaner and had a dining area and a comfortable seating area. Great for early morning sunrises or late evening stargazing. There is also a private pool. The (British) host lives in a separate apartment below. He was very responsive to contact (I broke a tap in the shower and it was immediately replaced). The area is beautiful with lots of cultural and sightseeing things nearby. The local beach is at the bottom of the hill. It is a narrow pebbly beach well served with beach bars, restaurants and sunbeds. The swimming is lovely and good for children. There are even underwater archaeological remains (a roman villa) to explore. Overall, we we would recommend this property. It was only a bit of tidying and cleaning that stopped it being 5 stars all the way.

Summary: We like it very ´much to spend some days here. The terrasse with the view is just great and it is really a quite area. The pool is small, but okay for a short jump in and you can reach the beach by a short walk of less then 1 km down the hill. The city is small but nice and you have everything there, what you need. And the host Stewart is very friendly and helpful. You have a lot of restaurants not far away or in the city, but the best one is the stone house which can reached by a short walk of about 1 km. The only thing to improve would be some more dishes in the kitchen.

Summary: This is a great villa with spectacular and compelling views. Lots of space with multiple bathrooms and a lovely pool which we used extensively. We enjoyed the local food and there are plenty of very reasonable restaurants and bars. We appreciated Stewart's help throughout the week of our holiday - especially when we arrived as we were very late! The welcome package of essential food and drink was also a lovely touch.

Summary: Beautiful house with great views from the balconies over the bay. All you need is available, although some pool toys would have been nice. Excellent AC in the living room and bedrooms was very welcome in +35°C temperatures. Stewart was very helpful.

Summary: We were a group of 5 adults . We had plenty of space and the house had huge balconies overlooking the bay which were great to sit on for meals and see the bay. The beach was a 10 minute walk ( down quite a steep hill but we had no problems ). You could also easily drive and park at the beach too for free. The beach was narrow but excellent with free sun loungers and beach cafes. We saw turtles whilst snorkelling. The ancient amphitheatre was a good visit and not far. Nafplio was also a good visit with the fortress and a very pretty town. Stewart was very welcoming and helpful if we needed anything. The pool was very welcome and we used it a lot . The photo looks as if the pool is by a road, but actually it's only the driveway and above it there are only olive trees on a hill so it's very private except for next door.
