Charming Lakefront Log Cabin w/beautiful views of Long Lake. You'll know you are up north when you see all the stars on a clear night. Enjoy eating outside on the patio table on the upper deck or sit around the camp fire cooking smores. The cabin is stocked with all of the comforts of home. We look forward to hosting you at our cabin and hope you enjoy it as much a we enjoy sharing it! We have a 3 night minimum stay on weekends and a 6 night minimum stay the week of July 4th. Max. 4 adults, 6 total guests. Feel free to message us with any questions!
910 sq. feet of living space with beautiful views of the lake. 2 bedrooms, both with queen size beds, queen size sleeper sofa, full bath, 1/2 bath, living room with 50" TV, You Tube TV, wifi, kitchen (no dishwasher) that seats 6. We also have stocked the cabin with games, cards and books for your enjoyment. Bonus room downstairs that walks out to a patio with charcoal grill (charcoal not included) and a firepit. Dine with a view of the lake or watch the sunset from your upper deck (dining table that seats 6) or lower deck (6 rocking chairs). We don't have a gate to block off the stairs going to the basement (and one can't be put up by our guests) so this cabin is not well suited for really young children. Capacity of 6 guests, Maximum 4 adults.
There is a public boat launch right across the lake from the rental cabin (3.8 miles drive) for your own boat/jet skis. The cabin sits in between 2 dirt roads on a hill with multiple steps up/down to the cabin. Cross the lower service road to get to your private water frontage that includes a dock for your boat/jet skis, 2 kayaks, paddle boat that seats 4, 4 adult life jackets , 2 child life jackets, 2 suntanning lounge chairs, 2 reclining beach chairs, 4 Adirondack chairs, noodles and several inflatable floats available for your enjoyment. Parking space is limited to 2 vehicles and 1 boat/atv trailer. We have a cottage next door and both properties share the lower part of the steps down to the lower road. We want you to enjoy relaxation, privacy and all that the cabin and surrounding area has to offer so we won't invade your space (though we are available if you have any questions)!
This is a beautiful setting to have a relaxing summer vacation on the water and to explore Michigan. It is also very peaceful watching the leaves change colors in the fall and a fun time in the winter with great ice fishing on Long Lake, and cross-country skiing, downhill skiing close by.
Long Lake is an all sports lake with a no wake rule between 7:30pm-11:00am. Have fun on the water from 11:00am-7:30pm water skiing, tubing, jet skiing or just tooling around the lake. Enjoy kayaking and paddle boating anytime of day where you might see an Eagle land in a tree or a loon dive for its food.
We are very conveniently located only 3.5 miles off US-127, just north of Harrison Mi. We are close to ORV trails, party stores (5 minutes), grocery stores (10-15 minutes), restaurants (5-15 minutes), golf course (5 minutes), Casino (35 minutes), Traverse City (1.5 hrs.), Mackinaw City, Manistee & Petoskey (1 hr. 45 minutes), Sleeping Bear Dunes & Ludington (2 hrs.), Silver Lake Sand Dunes (2 hrs. 15 minutes).
There are other cottages near by and a small residential neighborhood in the area.

Summary: Wow, what a nice place to stay. Everything was super clean and new. It has a great balance of having everything you need and nothing you don't. Super friendly owners who were more than helpful but didn't get in the way. We loved our time at the lake and would rent from them again in a heartbeat. The price was a great value.

Summary: House was wonderful, host was amazing. Only thing was pictures don’t show that the lake is full of seaweed after the first five feet from shore line. If you don’t mind seaweed it’s a perfect getaway!

Summary: Thank you to Terry and Debbie for amazing Hosts! The cabin was perfect for us. Everything that we needed in the kitchen was there. The place was just so nice and cozy. The boys enjoyed the paddle boats and fishing the most. This is def a place we would love to come back to, its the perfect peaceful retreat!!

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay at this amazing property. Watching the sun set over the lake will take all of your cares away. The house is meticulous and very well-stocked with everything you could ever need. The owners are extremely kind and generous. Very good communication. Provided detailed instructions to access the property. We arrived late at night and had no problems finding it. Cozy beds and firelit living room with cozy couches. We so enjoyed using the kayaks and pedal boat. Our 7 year old caught her first fish off the dock. The outdoor firepit area was amazing. Our favorite place was the rocking chairs on the deck among the towering trees. Magical. I was hesitant to write this review to keep this to ourselves as we would love to come back. Can't say enough about this beautiful home and hosts. Thank you so much!
