Summary: We would love to come back! Loved the soaking claw-foot tub and b&w decor in our room. A few minor things: When we booked via hotels.com it mentioned a welcome gift with the room we chose (#11) but there wasn't anything. It also felt a bit like the place was left to its own devices... breakfast list mentioned yogurt, but there was none. However, there was oatmeal and coffee. The place was so quiet and clean. We met Eve (not the owner) who has the Apothecary next door and she was lovely! We were the only ones renting the night we stayed so we had the entire place to ourselves. Be prepared that there is nothing around. I mean NOTHING. So you'll have to take a short drive in to eat dinner etc., which was fine with us. Overall, a very unique place to stay! It felt like taking a trip back to the 1800s and LOVED not having any TV in sight! Sad to know it's up for sale... I hope the new owners will keep it as is.

Summary: This was a short overnight after a concert in Fayetteville. We love the Beard & Lady! It is such a neat property. Our room was very comfortable and they were SO accommodating in letting us check in early to drop off our luggage on the way to the concert. The concert was rain delayed so it was well after midnight when we returned. I think most of the other guests were concert goers as well because the shower was busy at 1:30 a.m.! Great visit!

Summary: I read previous reviews that talked about noises, creaking of the wood floors, and how you can hear everything through the walls. Please keep in mind this is an AUTHENTIC 1800'S HOTEL. The owners have definitely did a very good job at preserving that authenticity. I stayed in room 4, the children's room. I opened the drawer and found a white noise machine ( along with a headless bride doll) that i utilized during my stay. I was the only one there (i think) until about 11pm. I slept like a baby and probably snored like a lumber jack and my apologies to the other guest. Beds were very comfy , the air was cold, and the shower was perfect,. Even though they were communal, they were still provided privacy. Overall a wonderful experience. I will say that the website mentioned a small staff to which I personally never saw, and the breakfast consisted of granola bars and instant grits so if your not a fan of those, bring your own. They have an impressive full kitchen there you can utilize.. I also loved the outdoor spaces there for sitting.

Summary: It was different for sure. We are used to regular hotels. But we did enjoy stay. It was kind of weird the first night though. We were the only ones there the first night. But all in all it was a good stay for us

Summary: What a beguiling mix of eccentricity and sharp esthetic sensibility. The details can be odd, but they are all clearly connected by the couple's personalities. My room (Middle Eastern) was bright and comfortable. Last night, I appeared to be alone in the place, with its proximity to potentially menacing dolls in a crib (and deep, looming shadows down the entryway). Things might well have gotten spooky (and if I had the $$ and a production crew, this would be an amazing location for an indie-horror flick!) Instead, because the vibe was so clean and the aura so well-manicured, it was a perfectly tranquil, restful evening.

Summary: This place was SO perfect for our son's graduation . We avoided the high prices in Fayetteville and it was a short drive to the activities there. The Inn gives a charming European hostel vibe with such a sweet and helpful hostess who gave us recommendations for short hikes and walks around the area, to a local swimming hole and to the farmers market. Wonderful sitting areas.

Summary: The place is a little creepy and the HVAC units make inconsistent noises… which wasn’t helpful for a good night sleep. In the morning, I noticed that there were at plugs available in several tables. Those would have helped. The place is pretty cool. They’ve done a great job of making look 100 years old.

Summary: Originally, we booked adjoining rooms, but as it turns out, we were the only ones there. We asked to change rooms because the one room in particular, # 4, was creepy. The price difference was not really discussed, so we ended up paying a lot more. That being said, the place is beautifully restored and maintained. There are no TV’s, so a nice unwind. Oh, no elevator either, so make sure you can carry your own bag up the stairs.

Summary: This is an amazing inn and it is an experience to be had rather than just a place to spend the night. Themed rooms, antique items and furniture and old books, and random interesting items to check out. Historic building.

Summary: The in is an "experience" as it takes you back in time. From the minute you walk in and up the stairs you are transferred back in time. There are 11 rooms all on second floor and only one room with a private bath. Ladies and Gentleman have a separate area for private restrooms and bath areas. Each room has it's own unique decor (refer to website for complete description and don't forget to read about the history). There is no front desk as instructions are sent to you prior to arrival. Relax and think about the old west as you stay in this unique one of a kind inn!
