Positive: The apartment was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The sea views were amazing, and we could see the cruises arriving every morning and leaving in the afternoon. It was conveniently close to town, just a half-hour walk, which we did a few times. The host was very helpful and provided all the information we needed for a pleasant stay, including a telephone for making calls. The price was affordable. Thank you for everythng.

Positive: The apartment is in a quiet residential location a little out of town but since I had a car, that was no issue. The apartment is well furnished, has everything you need to cook from a 4 burner stove, fridge, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, cups and glasses. A large washer and dryer are available for use in the apartment. They even supply a phone with some minutes for local calls which is a lovely touch. Everything is very clean and the bathroom has a bidet, good shower with lots of hot water and good towels and toiletries were supplied. The A/c is the bedroom worked well but the display is very bright so I ended up using the ceiling fan instead for sleeping. There is no A/C in the sitting area but there is both a celing fan and a standalone fan so it's not necessary. Communication both before and during my stay was exemplary. Any questions were answered promptly and I was even able to check in early, which was great. Cash payments only, no credit cards accepted.

Negative: I didn't love the bed or the pillows as they were both very firm. A bit too firm for my taste but others may view that differently.

Summary: Great place to stay, but would recommend having a car.

Positive: You really need to cook your own meals - which was fine for us and what we expected. There were some spices and condiments in the cabinet. The fridge is full size. All of the restaurants within walking distance are take-out or picnic table seating. There are a number of them next to the Rams grocery store at the bottom of the hill. The view of the ocean was nice. The ceiling fans and bedroom A/C made it comfortable.

Negative: We wanted an outdoor dining area and/or patio and while that was in the listings - it did not exist. The accommodations were OK but the bed only had one side access so you had to climb over each other to get out. There were wooden stools at the table which had no back so sitting for any length of time was uncomfortable. You can hear noise from upstairs early in the morning. The area is not close enough to a beach to walk. You really need a car at this location. There is a fairly steep hill in front that you need to walk up and down to get to the bus and grocery store. The owner was very nice and appeared to be fairly new at the renting game but tried to make it work. Ultimately we decided to leave early and go to a location that had a beach, patio and outdoor dining. She did refund our money in USD and it is important to know that you must pay in full in CASH when you arrive. No credit cards. This would probably be a great spot for someone coming to the island for work.

Summary: Very clean accommodations that need a bit of updating - nice view of the sea.

Positive: From the moment when I booked, I received plenty of information not just about the property, but also the neighbourhood, security, the city, walking and driving distances, car rental, and many other issues. If I asked questions, I received a prompt answer. The hosts welcomed me, and I enjoyed much independence during the stay. This is a spacious and well-maintained property with AC in the bedroom (though not in the living room). I do not use TV much, but the one in the living room is state of art with channels from around the world. It is possible to walk to the next, very big supermarket and some restaurants, or take a bus to the city centre. The views from Beacon Hill are magnificent.

Negative: Nothing to pick really. Though I would prefer paying by credit card, instead of cash, this is good value for money, and you do not have to carry much cash with you, especially when spending only a few days there. Some tips for travellers: each and every car rental company on St Kitts, international and local, charges an excess (for my three days with a small AVIS car US$ 600); there is no way to get of it, no Super-Cover. Hence, it is worth to sign up for a stand-alone excess insurance before your journey. Also, you do need a car, no escape. You want to drive around the northern, mountainous part of the island, where all the major sights are located: a rum distillery, Romney House and Gardens, indigenous rock carvings, Brimstone Fortress, and this would be difficult with buses on one day. Also, there are no buses to the southern beaches. Coming from Antigua, pothole island, it was so nice to see that streets are very good (strangely, not too good from the airport to the property).
