"La Casa del Mexicano" is newly constructed, inviting and unique 2-bedroom, 2-bath beachfront house that has a style of its own, tastefully decorated with traditional elements.
This home boasts two well equipped kitchens, comfortable furnishings and breathtaking rooftop views of the ocean. With the proximity of 50 meters to the beach you are just steps away from enjoying the sand between your toes on Celestun's pristine sandy beach. The house is located minutes away by car from town center.
The space
This specious house consists of separate 2 bedrooms, one with a queen and single sized beds as well as comfy sofa bed in living room. The other bedroom offers matrimonial bed as well as sofa bed in the second living room. Therefore, it can accommodate comfortably up to 5 persons with 8 people as maximum capacity with extra charge $15 per each additional guest after 5 guests.
This hKitchenette has everything you will need to prepare and cook your meals. It includes fridge, gas stove, small convection oven, coffee maker, kettle, ad many more to allow you to practice your culinary art!

Summary: We completely enjoyed our stay here. Our family used both apartments (the doors can open to connect them together if desired). The space was comfortable & had all we needed. The beach was literally right out the back of the property (we tested it out 10 minutes after arrival !) It also happened to be a darker night when we were there & we went up to the rooftop patio & spent a long time looking at the stars. So great! The owners also happened to staying there at the time & were so supportive (especially after we had a mishap with the rental car) & kind. We got up early to kayak in the mangroves (such a cool experience!) & went out to breakfast at Peter Pan’s after. Highly recommend this restaurant & highly recommend Jarek’s apartments!

Summary: My family loved staying here. The beach is only a few steps away and it’s very private & tranquil. It’s about a a mile from the town & restaurants. We did not have a car but had no problem with getting a moto taxi. Cheap and friendly way to travel. Walkable as well. Would be 15-20 minute walk to town. Julia was a fantastic communicator. Full of great suggestions and quick response. Would stay here again for sure.
