Positive: Good value for money. Location was good with nice view of the lake. Food was amazing!! Was able to rent a scooter to see the entirety of the lake.

Negative: The rooms are basic (but have everything you need to be comfortable)

Positive: Just after arrival we were invited to visit a Minangkabau wedding around the corner! What a unique experience! Our room with a tiny terrace in front facing the lake was all we needed. The offered food was simple but tasty.

Negative: There was an odd smell in some parts of the outside area.

Positive: I liked the vibe, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The view was stunning being in front of a lake surrounded by mountains. The food also was tasty, delicious gado gado.

Negative: I booked by them a van from there to Padang and the driver was totally crazy, it was raining and he was running so much, one of the most unsafe experiences of my life. Indeed we had an accident but luckily all of us didn’t get hurt from his stupidity. About the stay, no hot shower, and many bedbugs on my bed.

Positive: The location of Beach Guest House is fantastic; next to the lake. The staff is also very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The food served at Bagoes Cafe is lovely; lots of choice (also for vegetarians) and affordable. Rooms are basic but had everything we needed since we spent most time outside exploring the beautiful area.
