Positive: We absolutely loved our stay at the White House. Joy and Lutz are the most wonderful hosts, and their kids quickly became best friends with our children — to the point where our kids didn’t even want to come exploring the island with us because they didn’t want to leave their new friends! The White House itself is gorgeous and thoughtfully set up with all the little extras that make a stay truly comfortable: great cooking facilities, plenty of crockery, comfortable beds, a lovely hot shower, and a beautiful outdoor balcony setting where we loved spending time. Everything felt easy, relaxed, and homely. Joy went above and beyond to help us, organising motorbikes and transfers and even giving us incredibly helpful medical advice when we needed it — we felt so well looked after. This is truly a special place and a perfect escape. Part of us wants to say keep it a secret, because it’s such a wonderful spot to relax, connect, and feel at home. We would return in a heartbeat!

Negative: You need to get transport-like a rental motorbike to get the best out of this location. But it is close to so many incredible natural destinations on the island. Not many food options.

Positive: Everything was INCREDIBLE!! Joy and Lutz are the most wonderful people and they were so kind and hospitable towards us. We told them that we were sick when we arrived and Joy chopped up a coconut for us to drink out of and Lutz took us to buy medicine. They absolutely didn’t need to, but they took care of us as if we were family. The house is absolutely GORGEOUS and that VIEW!!!! Incredible. Everything about our stay was just amazing and I am DREAMING of coming back!! It was such a pleasure to be hosted by such wonderful people in the most gorgeous place ever.
