NATURE
The rooms at ISTMO are an oasis of comfort and tranquility, truly unwind when you enter our stand-alone air-conditioned bungalow that blends seamlessly into the natural backdrop of the jungle surrounding the property.
Our accommodations are designed to support you in a retreat experience, without the distractions of televisions.
You will be awakened in the morning by flocks of parakeets flying overhead and go to sleep to the sound of frogs singing from the creek.
RELAXATION AND MEDITATION
While on our property you can enjoy our Walking Labyrinth, a Nature Trail, and areas throughout the property for relaxation, and meditation. Please, make yourself at home.
All of our furniture, including the beds, is made with local materials by local artisans.
We offer laundry service, daily housekeeping and massages for an additional charge.
BEACH
Who needs a pool when you are an 8-minute walk to a secluded beautiful beach?
Our local beach is a hidden gem of Panama. There is natural shade, but no other facilities so take with you what you will need for the day.
The sand beach is great for swimming and walking. As with all beaches on the Panama Pacific there is a significant tidal difference between high and low tides. Some days are as calm as a swimming pool and some days there is a large shore break and swimming is not recommended (non swimming days are very rare).
Our individual bungalows, open spaces, and secluded beach make us a safe and natural option for your vacation.

Three (3) Stand-alone bungalows, situated on 4 acres of land with intact rainforest, have been converted into a comfortable air conditioned two-bedrooms and a kitchen vacation home ideal for families and groups of friends.
This is a great place to gather and unwind with your favorite people.
Just a 5-7 minute walk to our local beach - Playa Grande, one of the hidden gems of Panama. There is natural shade at the long sandy beach, but no other facilities so take with you what you will need for the day.
For those looking for the perfect location for remote working, our bungalows are equipped with fast and reliable Wi-Fi.
This vacation home has a kitchen, beautiful outdoor porches, and hammock areas to kick up your feet and relax.
On the property, you can walk the meditation labyrinth, explore the jungle and wildlife on the short nature trail, meditate or practice in our yoga studio, or catch up with your favorite people under the shade of the mango trees. The two spacious individual bungalows with beds are equipped with high-speed internet, a/c, a hot water shower, and a front porch.
The Master Bedroom Bungalow has an attached full bathroom and two very comfy full-sized beds.
The Second Bedroom Bungalow has an attached full bathroom and two bunk beds, each with a comfy full-sized bed on the bottom, and a twin bed on top.
The Private Kitchen Bungalow has an attached full bathroom, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, with cooking utensils and appliances including a stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.
The porch of the kitchen bungalow has an outdoor bar and charcoal BBQ. Please bring your own charcoal.
