Summary: Less than a quarter toilet roll, shower head needed descaling, holes were clogged with lime. I arrive just after 19.30 and the selection fora meal was very disappointing, about 8 members from a coach party arrived at desk in restaurant at the same time as me and limited and dried selection to chose from, plenty of fish but no chips. Improvement needed in that department

Summary: I know this hotel was cheap but overall the stay was still disappointing. My main grievance was being woken up many times in the night by a very loud noise from the plumbing. The safety locks on the 1st floor window just fell out when we opened the windows. The room was acceptably clean but the bathroom wall tiles were filthy. One bedroom corner also stank of cat pee. There was no fan or working a/c in the room so I had to borrow one from reception. The receptionist was saying everyone’s room numbers out loud whilst checking people in. When booking it said the pool was closed from 2nd July to November so we didn’t take swim stuff, but when leaving we saw someone swimming in it. The bathroom in particular was rather run down with peeling paint etc but the whole room looked in need of tlc. The positives were they did put an extra bed for our toddler, it’s pet friendly so we could bring our dog and the parking was free. The bedding was also clean. If it weren’t for being woken up so many times I probably wouldn’t have cared about the other issues. I did tell the receptionist on check out so hopefully future guests of room 402 won’t be so unlucky. We had also (wrongly) assumed there would be a mini fridge in the room, unfortunately there wasn’t which then caused difficulty trying to keep milk cold for our 2 year old.

Summary: I had a Large Double Ensuite Room. Quiet Location. To Improve :- Do not use an Extention Lead for the Large TV - a hazard for guest to wheel the extension lead to a socket Drill the TV into the wall facing the double bed The chairs around the table looks like a meeting room - please remove and the office chair opposude the dressing table does not match. Decor is outdated. Perhaps antique decor as it would suit the hotel and buildings Cold table in bath is hard to turn Sink is blocked in bathroom needs to be unplugged Rusty metal taps and plugs needs to be polished Dryed flowers are outdated fresh flowers are better ie roses and champagne for Guests Fridge was dirty needs a kitchen cleaner and dusty underneath too low needs to be put at a safe height to avoid back injury. Curtains are winter and should be summer Garden has huge potential ie a strawberry garden with herbs. Its overgrown. Windows are broken locks are not attached. Note pad and paper essential. Not enough Tea bags too many herbal teas. Leather polish for sofa. Wallpaper damaged needs re painting to lighten room with pictures Art / Hampshire History as location is beautiful. Dutch German and French translation please. Walks nearby with a guide to walks with pack lunches available. Bus routes and shops. Excellent hospitality.
