Summary: We stayed at this hotel as family and guests to attend a wedding. The hotel is on several acres of well manicured lawns and an excellent place for nightlife in terms of watching the stars and just relaxing out in nature. The staff were very helpful and we observed a sense of camaraderie between them and how happy they seem to be working in that environment. The hotel itself is full of character as it must’ve been built in the 1800s and have an excellent history as it was initially a privately owned home, a private school at one time as well as a hospital during the war and now it is owned by a private group. The food is excellent, there were items I didn’t like for breakfast however other visitors were happy with it. I stayed in this hotel during the severe heat and unfortunately, although there was a fan in my room, it was very uncomfortable to sleep because the hotel does not have air-conditioning (AC) which is a downfall, but no doubt the hotel will be comfortable in the winter as there are radiators in the rooms

Summary: Unfortunately the hotel let themselves down badly. We paid over £350 for a Suite in the main house and were allocated room 7. Only way I can describe the room is awful. Live and dead flies everywhere, the lounge area has a carpet that was coming up, furniture that didn’t either fit or suite the room, the bathroom looks like it’s from a 70s house, nothing like any pictures on the website and it wasn’t very clean. Before arrival we flagged our stay was a special occasion and despite not being anywhere full we were given this room. When we complained the staff were great and moved us to room 6 which was fantastic and does look like the website (only down side was no air con) but it makes it even more frustrating that we were allocated the shocking room when others were available. Can’t fault the staff but evident the hotel needs a hell of a lot of work in some areas. On check out there were a number of apologies but no offer to reduce the bill at all to compensate. That shows a poor approach to managing these issues in my view

Summary: The Full English breakfast was lovely and just the right size. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Summary: Tylney Hall is our favourite manor hotel in South East England. The whole experience is wonderful. The staff are very welcoming to dogs but unfortunately dogs aren't allowed inside much of the hotel. We therefore had breakfast served to our room and we ate out at local dog friendly pubs (The Falcon in Rotherwick & The Leather Bottle in Mattingley) for dinner. That said, we can't wait to stay at Tylney Hall again and will recommend the hotel to all our friends and family.

Summary: Clean room. Restaurant service was slow and food cold. Not acceptable for extensive Chataubriand.

Summary: Lovely venue, great grounds. Spa staff in particular are a great asset an deliver a superior service. Hotel is very comfortable but it is pricey. For instance a pint of Diet Coke was over £11.
