Summary: Lovely hotel! We got a queen room with a sleeper sofa, which were in separate rooms. Which was great for privacy, but only the bedroom had an AC unit, which left the sleeper sofa room pretty warm overnight. But that's our only complaint - otherwise great location, great price for the area, very clean, and friendly check-in staff. I'd certainly come back.

Summary: This is our third year staying at Basalt Mountain Inn. The hosts are very nice. They are in the process of upgrading the rooms. Bathroom was redone. The linens are thin and dingy, but they will likely be replaced soon. We look forward to our visit there next year.

Summary: Other than being worried about being given a fine for any infraction like taking breakfast to your room, (there was a list on the door saying what all the fines were) this was a nice place to stay. They put a lot of money into the bathrooms but the mattress could use an upgrade. I’d stay here again though.

Summary: Check-in was smooth, and the staff were very efficient. The room was fairly clean, and the hotel is in a great area with good overall value. The only downside was that the room door had a window with a bright light directly outside it and no way to block it, which made for a restless night.

Summary: Basalt Mountain Inn was a great value for its picturesque location. The motel, while a bit on the older side, is well maintained and very clean. The queen sized bed was very comfortable, and the toilet had a heated seat and a night light! So fancy! The rooms were quiet when the people in the neighboring rooms stopped walking around and when the AC unit was not running. Breakfast was standard fare that was less than amazing. Trying to reach staff at the front desk was problematic. Overall, a good experience.
