Barra is a reinvented 1970s beach shack, with a new addition and swimming pool that has been transformed into a beautiful beach house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Uniquely modern, its polished concrete floors and whitewashed floorboards compliment each other and create unison between new and old. Elevated with Hampton styling, the home creates a peaceful retreat from busy lives in true beach house style.
Located at Point Arkwright, the home is across the park from the beautiful Yaroomba Beach which is a local favourite with surfers and families alike.
*Accommodation*
The new and old merge together at the heart of the home which is the kitchen/dining that overlooks the pool. Thanks to the north-facing orientation, the kitchen and living spaces are filled with sunlight.
In the front part of the house are the 2 living spaces, one upstairs and the other on the ground level. Places to gather to chat or just relax with a book are abundant, and you can kick back with afternoon drinks on the covered upper floor deck or below on the deck by the pool.
The new addition of the house includes the stunning galley kitchen/dining, the master bedroom and ensuite. Plus, another queen bedroom, an additional bathroom, sitting/TV room entry and laundry.

The wonderful, fully equipped galley style kitchen with large dining table for 12 is the focal point of the house. Includes a large gas stove oven, dishwasher, family fridge and a Breville coffee machine (ground beans). Sliding glass doors overlook the sparkling swimming pool.

There are 3 living spaces and lovely outdoor entertaining areas providing plenty of room to gather with family and friends to discuss the days activities or seek away to a quiet nook with book. The lower, casual living room features a gas fireplace for those cool nights and overlooks the pool deck and sparkling pool beyond. Directly above is another lovely living room and covered deck, which is the perfect place for an afternoon drink or morning coffee. Featuring a kitchenette with a sink and bar fridge to keep the refreshments cold.
There is a third smaller TV lounge room with sofa bed overlooks the pool and is adjoining bedrooms 2 on the ground floor.

Summary: Plenty of room for the 3 families. Our favourite room was the loungeroom with the cosy fire, big coffee table where our 3 year old was able to play with her Bluey toys. 2nd favourite room, kitchen with that long table that sat all our family for husbands 80th birthday dinner. Short walk to beach, great for kids. They even went swimming and its June. Of course, we were blessed with lovely sunny days. Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful house.

Summary: Barra Luxe beach house is a beautiful large home with great facilities and separate areas with four bathrooms so its perfect for large groups and accommodated our group of 11 very comfortably. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen has a great coffee machine that got a good workout during our stay! Surf and body boards were also available which the kids loved. The local beach is only a few minutes walk from the house and was beautiful to walk along and paddle our feet but a little too rough to swim however Coolum beach is a short drive away and perfect for a swim. There is also the Point Arkwright trail that follows the coast line with stunning views and was a great walk for the whole family. The area is well serviced by several supermarkets and cafes being a few minutes drive away with Hasting street in Noosa Heads being a 25 minute drive. Vicky, the property manager was lovely and easy to deal with and very kindly allowed an early check-in which got our holiday off to a great start. I would highly recommend Barra Luxe as a great place to stay.

Summary: This was a great house and we had a lovely family holiday! Though only 2 bedrooms are air-conditioned and no rooms have ceiling fans, although there are small standing fans in the room these really don't do much when you're trying to get young children to nap on hot days. Loved the house but we wouldn't stay again without better cooling
