Positive: Nice to have 2 rooms, living room and kitchen for less than 2 hotel rooms in the area--with a full kitchen and living room.
Negative: No photos of the inside of the cottage until I booked it

Positive: Good location. Was quaint and liked the open office to get what you needed and really appreciated the books on the area. Sheets were good and clean. Floor clean. Lot of utensils for cooking. Even scissors. Loved the large fridge
Negative: Bath way to small. Could use more shelves. Bed ridiculously high. No room to open a second suitcase. Little dresser was old and stinky. The buoys on the outside are cute for decor but when the wind blows at night you can hear them banging all night. Didnt leave heat on when gone since it was so antiquated was afraid it would start a fire. Never tried the ac. Kitchen stove was updated but even on high cooked slow. And no prep room really. I understand these are old and they tried to make due with what limited space they had but the bath alone would be a no go and lets talk towels. First night we had great large towels the rest of the stay it was like a shammy cloth. Please invest in more decent towels.

Positive: I loved the quaint little cabins. And the location was perfect. Everyone was nice and friendly.
Negative: As long as you realize these cabins are older and small there’s nothing to complain about.

Positive: The cottage was adorable and relaxing. There was easy access to supplies in a 'help yourself' fashion. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The area was gorgeous and away from the hustle and bustle, especially on Labor Day weekend. There were games and grills and chipmunks and humming birds. My morning walk down my the water was unforgettable as well. We will be back. The proximity to BH downtown was close enough for groceries, kayaking, and easy access to Acadia!! Beat anniversary trip so far.

Positive: Beautiful little cottages. You have all you need onthe property for cooking or grilling.
Negative: Location is a 10 minute drive from Bar Harbor. Even though there is a free shuttle, the bus stop is a 25 minute walk away.

Positive: The cottages were wonderful. The interior was adorably decorated and we really loved the two bedroom option that also had a futon couch..plenty of room for everyone. The owners have thought of everything including a kitchen with everything you need, fire pit, grill (and all the accessories) and a we had picnic table in front of our cottage. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch of our cottage (that looked out at the ocean) every night! The cottages were about 10 mins (or less) from Acadia which was perfect! Also about 5 mins from a coffee house and ice cream place! If you prefer to be out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor this is such a great option!

Positive: If you're looking for a place to stay in Bar Harbor, look no further—Bar Harbor Cottages and Suites is truly the only place you need. The cottages are absolutely charming, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hosts are simply amazing. The outdoor amenities add the perfect touch, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, while still being just minutes from Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. They even did our laundry at no charge—a thoughtful service they graciously offer to all guests. And to top it off, Joe surprised us with a gift card for ice cream and beer after hearing it was our anniversary. I’ve never experienced hospitality like this—truly remarkable. We can’t recommend this place enough and will absolutely be back. Thank you, Joe, for going above and beyond to make our stay so special!
