Positive: Wonderful staff, amazing property and location, all at a very good price. The manager kindly upgraded our room without any cost. Two pools, a small one in front and a larger one to really swim. So far, the best accommodation we have enjoyed in Vietnam, having traveled already 3 weeks. Perfect place for peace, tranquility and well-being.

Positive: This place truly became like a home for me. As a 25-year-old solo traveler, I was a little nervous at first, but from the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by everyone. I ended up staying longer than planned and even joined as a volunteer because I felt so connected here. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect for exploring, and the motorbike rental is super convenient. But what makes this place truly special is the people – Manager Phuin and Mr. Khai took such great care of me and made sure I felt part of the family. An unforgettable experience – highly recommended!

Negative: To be honest, I have nothing bad to say about the place.

Positive: The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I loved it so much, that I stayed 3 nights in total to calm down a little bit. The staff is great and Piun is always there, if you need anything. He also helped me book a Ha Giang Loop Tour just the evening before it started. Probably the best place I stayed at in Vietnam so far!

Positive: This exceptional lodge is value for money. Setting among rice paddy, with motorcycle rentals. We loved the freshly prepared food, sourcing their supply locally. We jumped into the pool every afternoon during our 4 nights stayed. Our room was spacious with large bed, mosquito net and great aircon for the summer heat. We also rented a motorcycle from here for 3 days for our self-guided Ha Giang Loop.

Positive: We had a great stay at Ban Bang Ecolodge! Room 🛏️ Spacious, clean, and beautiful with comfy mattresses. A thinner blanket option would’ve been nice. Location 📍 Peaceful spot 15 minutes from Ha Giang, surrounded by rice paddies and mountains. The night bus from Hanoi dropped us right at the lodge, and we also caught a bus to Ninh Binh from there. Perfect for a quiet stay if you're okay with scootering to town. Food 🍱 Tasty and satisfying. Service & Staff ℹ️ Outstanding hospitality—friendly, helpful, and never pushy about tours. Piun and Van made us feel especially welcome. Thank you! Scooter Rental 🛵 Easy and fairly priced. I would stay here again!!!

Positive: It was nice to have the small swiming pool then we had a swim after arriving. The common arrea is beautiful and match with the local interior and surounding environment. We had a good time to stay here. The 10 km distance from the city was fine with us as we travel by car. You should chose the crepe for the breakfast, it is amaizing. We have a good time in Ban Bang Ecologe. The price is way under our expectation.

Positive: This is an absolute Gem of a place, a complete and unexpected surprise. A very unusual and unique experience. BIG rooms. The Duty manager, Mr Puit is a very nice and capable young man, impecable English, with a very down to earth attitude. Nothing was any trouble for him and any issues were resolved quickly and professionaly.

Negative: I had room 204, and in that room there is a sensor light, in the ceiling just inside the door, so when you come in at night, the entry is illuminated. Great idea???? Hmmmmm. Maybe not. After going to bed, each time I turned in my sleep, the sensor picked up the motion and turned the light on. Every couple of hours the light would illuminate the whole room. On mentioning the lack of sleep due to the sensitivity of the sensor light, Mr Puit, did make some financial retribution for the disrupted sleep.

Summary: A very well kept secret and a very pleasant surprise.
