Positive: Bamboo Garden is a simple guesthouse with all the basics you need and a very comfortable bed. The staff and manager (Oi) are very friendly and helpful and checking in was as laidback as you can get,..so easy. Nice pool,..a little on the small side but refreshing and welcome after a trip out and back. Close to a 7/11 that has a pharmacy and eats never too far away.

Negative: The rooster next door with my early alarm call I could have done without but that's a minor quibble and we are deep in Isaan country after all. Still plenty of time to get good rest after Mister Rooster has settled down for the day.

Summary: Relaxing, no fuss accomodation with excellent staff that make all the difference.

Positive: amboo garden We were met on arrival by the lovely Oi who was happy to let us check in early. Bamboo garden is a delightfully quiet and peaceful location. We had a lovely room made from old wood, a nice cool terrace with table and chairs to relax on any time of day. The room was simple and spotlessly clean. Nice comfortable bed and a decent shower with good pressure. There is a beautiful clean shaded pool in a lovely garden that we spent the afternoon in and around. In the evening Oi cooked for us and it was delicious. She is a truly lovely kind caring person. Her partner Frank built the resort 30 years ago. Sadly he died 3 years ago. Resorts are not 5* luxury and are not supposed to be. They are a simple way of life. We had a wonderful day/night and have already made plans to stay there again. Frank, you did a good job creating Bamboo garden.

Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Summary: Enjoyed it so much and made a good groyne in Oi that we will return soon and I'm sure many times in the future.
