Ballywiheen Cottage is a traditional Irish dwelling is nestled in a lush green area between Ventry and Ballyferriter, hugged by the landscape, sheltered by woodland trees and central to all the beaches west of Dingle.
Spacious and bright it boasts vaulted ceilings, two wood burning stoves, vintage furnishing, a modern kitchen and a sunroom that leads out into the patio and established garden.

Ballywiheen Cottage has four bedrooms. On the ground floor is the quaint master bedroom which leads off the sunroom at the southern end of the house has patio doors opening into the garden and its own ensuite. Also on the ground floor is a large double bedroom adjoining the dining area and has its own ensuite with a bath. There are two twin rooms in the mezzanine area up the wooden steps with cute furnishings and velux windows.
All the bedrooms have the unique rustic appeal of the rest of the cottage where rough white walls, revealed stonework and quirky style unite to create desirable interiors.
Bathrooms
There are three bathrooms in the cottage. The large bathroom is up a few steps from the kitchen and has a shower, sink and toilet. The master bedroom ensuite also has a shower, sink and toilet. The third bathroom which is an ensuite has a bath, shower, sink and toilet. All the bathrooms are on the ground floor.
Living area
This open plan living area is a wonderful space to entertain or relax. The comfy couches are gathered around the natural stone fire place which is the central feature of this sizeable room. A timeless Irish dining suite and dresser sits down the other end with stone arches leading through into the south-west facing sunroom that borders the house where its only polite to lounge for hours with a book drenched in sun.
Kitchen
The kitchen table is the heart of every Irish home as it is in Ballywiheen Cottage. The old and new blend together seamlessly as the stainless steel appliances offset the rough stonework. The fresh, white kitchen has a dishwasher, freestanding oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and food blender.

Summary: We traveled from the US to celebrate a wedding anniversary and enjoy the Dingle Peninsula. This was a warm home which was centrally located for all of our activities.

Summary: We were in Dingle for a week and loved our stay at Ballywiheen Cottage. Very clean and provides all the amenities for a perfect stay. Located in the country but close to everything we wanted to see. Quiet, beautiful yard for sitting in the evening. Great vacation!

Summary: We were 4 couples and the cottage accommodated us beautifully. A really cute old farmhouse with awesome kitchen and great living space. About 9 kms from Dingle which was one of our favorite towns in all of Kerry. Had visits from Ben the border collie next door. If we ever come back to Dingle we would book Ballywiheen again.
