Positive: Modern but quite quirky and original property - linked to others but separate. Comfortable, would have been excellent for a larger group, as we had originally intended to be. Nice area and not far from the local towns and beaches. Just a few miles from the ferryport to Britain at Rosslare.
Negative: The only thing missing, to my mind, was a house 'book' - with information on where everything is, how appliances work, what to do in an emergency, where the doctors are, recommendations for places to go - that sort of thing. There was a tennis court on site but we were not sure if we could use it, for instance. The friendly host lived adjacent to the property but we did not like to keep disturbing her.
Summary: A pleasant week in a part of Ireland we had not visited before.

Positive: The property is incredible for kids. Loads of hidden nooks and crannies, bamboo mazes, a Japanese garden, strange statues and alpacas. Its really safe for kids. The house is lovely too and really comfortable!

Positive: Grounds, sleeping quarters, Geraldine was so kind and accommodating all the way through. Play area was great for the kids. Something interesting around every corner. Kids loved seeing the chickens visit and saying hello to the alpacas. Close to the lake. Close to the beach. Close to shops and restaurants and wexford town. Proximity the heritage centre in farycarrig was great. Brilliant spot.
