Positive: An exceptional villa. One of the nicest and most interesting places we have ever stayed. Our host, who owns the palazzo, was gracious and friendly. The suite was huge, with a comfortable bed and good bath facilities, as well as a separate drawing room. Very good breakfast. Right in the center of a charming and romantic village.

Negative: Finding the gate off the one lane street through town was a challenge, but the owner came out to let us in as soon as called her.

Positive: Beautiful old building and town. Rooms are a decent size. Nice breakfast with good coffee.

Negative: We felt uwelcome. We were travelling with 2 small children. There is alot of antiques in the house and acoustics are really bad given the nature of the building. The host complained within an hour of our arrival about potential noise of small children disturbing guests that had not yet arrived - it was only about 2pm. We booked a junior suite but the host made an error and had given away our room (living room, bedroom and balcony) to another guest. We were given a camping bed for the kids and double room with no balcony instead. we were told she had not realised we had kids, but we had clearly booked for 2 adults and 2 children (ages included) on booking.com. There is no keys for bedrooms, so I felt our belongings were not adequately secured. When booking we mentioned travelling with a pet, but host was surprised we had a dog. Its not pet friendly. Overall, this is not a suitable property for children under 10 given anxiety about the antiques in the building, property acoustics, etc. There was quite some confusion given communication between Italian and English language.

Positive: Our staying at Palazzo Scolari was amazing! The breakfast was impeccable, the ambiance of the palazzo is fascinating, it transported us back in time! Spacious parking lot, our rooms and bathrooms were super clean and comfortable! Our host, Ana Salice is a very kind and thoughtful person! She heartly welcomed us and helped us in all we needed! We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!
