Positive: Big multi-level house, family upstairs, rooms downstairs. Great breakfast created by Rene. Good location with loads of street art and restaurants, a short walk up from the centre and not too far to Pablo Neruda’s house around the avenue Alemania. Rene very helpful and informative.

Negative: Not much; house a bit creaky with thin walls so can be a bit noisy at night if you’re a light sleeper.

Positive: Rene the Host welcomes you not just to his home but he welcome you to Valparaiso as well. Rene gives you his time so you can learn about the city but also about the history and culture of Valpo and Chile . Rene is a calm person with such a tender tone. Very few people have such a soothing effect on me. He helped me feel so relaxed . I had some ASMR tingles!! Breakfast isn’t about the food , it’s about socialising. Rene presents breakfast in such a way that you meet the other travellers and share experiences with each other . Despite brekkie starting at 8 , Rene held out for me when I was running late. I had an arms-length list of places and things that I wanted to do. But it was scattered all across the city . Rene made real effort to help coordinate my sightseeing so I could see both the main sites and things off the beaten track . He even used a board to organise my day. How awesome is that ! Hot shower Despite being in a very central popular location, the peace at night is great . The laundry services was incredibly handy . Worth the money for the convenience. Clothing smelling lovely and perfectly folded. Being a family home means responsible management and good security . Valpo is an awesome city bursting with colour in every corner . To me this is the definitive street art capital of the world. The city is generally safe. Even at night I was on my own in the centre and everything was great ! No problems at the bus station . I took a taxi outside straight here. I even took photos of the taxi from different angles using my phone outside the bus station . B&B La Nona has a personal touch which you won’t find anywhere.

Positive: This B&B is very well located and the host, René and his family, are very nice. René provided us with a lot of information on Valparaiso and how to get around the city to get the most out of it. All of his recommendations were great. The breakfast was very complete and good, and we learnt how to make great pisco! We had a great stay there!

Positive: Perfect location in the middle of the historical UNESCO area. B&B owner René is host as well as a perfect guide, he takes time to inform you with really insiders information. We planned to stay for two nights and ended up for 5 nights, because of the perfect atmosphere. And for travellers: they do laundry service as well!!

Positive: The house felt very homey. Our room had most comfortable bed, high ceilings, private bathroom and french doors giving to the shared patio. It was lovely we felt like we really had our bubble. We were welcome to use the bbq and kitchen too which was super nice! We appreciated the warmness of Rene’s family and their home. 10/10 breakfast as well. Would definitely go back if in Valparaiso!

Positive: Wonderfull breakfast with homemade multi cereal bread and homemade yoghurt. This is a real Homey place near all the things to see with a good selection of restaurants and bars nearby. The laundry service at Rene and family is very convenient and excellent! Xxx

Positive: A true B&B just 3 rooms for guests and a spacious inner courtyard. Great location. What sets it above the rest is the host Rene who besides being incredibly knowledgeable also shared tips on where to go what to do and which were the best local wines ..his restaurant recommendations went into the detail of which varieties of fish to look out for on the menu..!! Breakfast every morning was a treat. Healthy and yet decadent...his wife baked fabulous bread while he was adept at ensuring something different everyday. I still remember the pebre sauce that he introduced me to.

Negative: Liked everything but wish the bedroom had an espresso machine
