Positive: we stayed here for 1 night before our very early flight home - absolutely fine for the price but wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. The room was clean, large enough for us and the family themselves drove us to the airport at 2am (slightly more expensive than if we’d hailed a taxi but they didn’t have to).

Negative: When we arrived the family owners were very welcoming, but we had to wait 15 minutes whilst they finished cleaning our room (it was 7pm!) and there were 15 mosquitoes in the room waiting for us. There was a net, which was needed. However, the bible quotes on the wall and the slightly odd atmosphere around the place were slightly off putting.

Summary: Perfectly fine stay near the airport - but not for longer than one night

Positive: Very nice family running the hotel. We stayed here for our first night in Sri Lanka, very clean room. They organized our transfer to Anuradhapura as well. Excellent breakfast:)

Negative: I thought the double room id booked had air-conditioning in my, which it shows in pictures bit after arriving was told that there was an extra fee for that which wasn't much but just make sure you check when booking
