Summary: The home was beautiful, it had everything you needed. The photos do not do it justice. Ideal location to explore parts of Cornwall. If you do not want to eat in, there is somewhere to walk and eat just 5 minutes up the road or if you go the other way it’s just a little bit further, either by road or drop down to the beach and walk, there’s another little place with a cafe and pub to eat. Dog friendly beach below you. The host Caroline was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you to prepare you for your visit and also whilst you was there. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home.

Summary: I had the most incredible stay at this property in Cornwall during Easter. The house was immaculate, with breathtaking views of the ocean and every detail thoughtfully arranged. Our host Caroline, was an absolute delight—her communication was exceptional from start to finish, and she went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She provided fantastic recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed. I can't recommend this place highly enough for anyone looking for a serene and beautiful getaway.

Summary: Overall our experience was absolutely fantastic. The house is stunning and true to the pictures! Sitting on the couch, staring out at the water through the floor-to-ceiling windows while enjoying a cozy fire was the perfect way to spend our Christmas holiday. It is the perfect location, with easy access to the beach and great restaurants within walking distance. Thank you so much to the owner who gave us so many great suggestions of what to do in the area, provided dog beds knowing we were bringing a dog with us, was quick to respond to all of our queries and made the overall experience so easy and wonderful! Would highly recommend.

Summary: Absolutely amazing property with wonderful edge of the ocean views, delightful private outdoor space and equipped with everything necessary to make it a home from home. The large open plan dining / lounge area meant that we enjoyed evenings together as a family and the dog loved the space too. The owner was very helpful and friendly prior to arrival with information about local areas of interest and was so kind on departure when she allowed us an extended stay to sort out an issue with our onward travel arrangements. We all agree that we would return again and have no hesitation in recommending Avalon as a place to stay.

Summary: My wife and I have stayed at Avalon on many occasions. The property makes a wonderful base for exploring Cornwall. The facilities at Avalon are perfect, the owner provides all required for a self catering holiday. All rooms are very tastefully furnished, Sky TV on tap. Views from the garden are glorious. Local area has a choice Restaurants there is a lovely sandy beach for early morning, and evening strolls. If its peace, and quiet you want Downderry is the Perfect location. 🥰 Nothing!
