The manor house has been carefully restored to its original state in order to preserve its charm and authenticity. Gothic fireplaces, stained glass windows, ashlar, woodwork, chapel and period staircases have all been restored with great care and attention to detail, ensuring that the history of the house will live on for many years to come.

Then enjoy a pleasant breakfast under the wooded arbour or in the various relaxation areas around the property, while soaking up the first rays of the sun.

Summary: A memorable stay in a medieval 'castle'. It was an enjoyable experience although a little remote - you have to have a car to get anywhere as no local shops/restaurants within walking distance. The interior was a little tired as was the outside furniture. I fully appreciate it probably would have cost more had the outdoor seating/pool area and seating been updated. It did get very windy at times so would have been lovely if a more secluded outdoor seating area could be created. It's quite dark in the sitting room so you wouldn't necessarily want to spend more time inside than necessary. The property caretaker was very helpful but before arrival, the agency was very slow at responding to any questions and the instruction on how to find it was incorrect - we were looking for a white gate to the right of the Mairie whereas it was a pink/terracotta gate to the left!
