A UNIQUE & AUTHENTIC TASTE OF BEAUTIFUL TUCSON! Located on 7 acres of lush desert landscape on the edge of Saguaro National Park West, this handcrafted mud adobe ranch home embodies the spirit of Tucson and the southwest. Three distinct bedrooms sleep 6 and additional guests can be accommodated in the sun room and in the living room on comfortable queen size sleeper sofas. Beautiful southwestern art and custom touches throughout, combined with the classic thick mud adobe walls, make this ranch home a one of a kind treasure.
Please note that we have been making some enhancements to the front courtyard and back outdoor area of the house, including the addition of a large back patio, fireplace and outdoor kitchen (fireplace and kitchen are constructed and awaiting final detail work). The major work has been completed (photos coming soon) and there is some finishing work being completed through Nov 2025. Of course we will work hard to ensure minimal disruption to guests who chose to stay during this time and this listing will be updated if any large projects get started.
Surrounded by pristine desert landscape and gorgeous views, this is the perfect spot for a special getaway where you will feel away from it all, yet be close to great dining shopping and entertainment options. This solar-passive home was lovingly designed and built by hand with endless custom touches. Each room is a beautiful blend of materials and design, featuring large rough-hewn beams, saguaro cactus ribs, cedar shakes, barn planks, stone, marble, brick, concrete and classic Mexican saltillo tile.
Sombrero Peak majestically looms within walking distance just west of the home with the Santa Catalina, Rincon and Santa Rita Mountain Ranges in view to the east. There are views in every direction and this is a fantastic spot to catch one of Tucson's picturesque sunsets. Wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee on the back patio with century-old saguaro holding court over the entire property.
The custom kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with enough dishes, glasses and silverware to easily accommodate twelve in the grand dining room featuring a large custom table and chairs and a classic southwest fireplace. The great room features a large sleeper sofa (queen) and love seat, 55" smart TV, the ranch library, games and puzzles. The Sunroom, which also features a sleeper sofa, is a perfect spot for reading and quiet contemplation.
Shopping, dining, entertainment and services are within 5 minutes of the ranch and upscale shopping and dining in the Catalina Foothills are just 10 to 15 minutes away. Easy freeway access puts downtown Tucson and the University of Arizona within 15 to 20 minutes from the ranch. Cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts will love the hiking trails and the proximity to the Tucson Loop (a 130 mile network of shared-use paths and paved trails dedicated to cyclist, pedestrian, and equestrian use).

Summary: We had the most enjoyable time relaxing in the middle of a serene location and with a wonderful home to spread out in. Plenty of space for games, dinners, and sleeping quarters. Close to local shopping, yet still in the desert with a feel of being in nature at its best. Unique views landscape and plenty of local wildlife sights and sounds to enhance the experience. Owners were very gracious, met us for check-in and provided a nice welcome overview to get settled in. Great place to stay.

Summary: The house and the property are incredible! The pictures don't do it justice. The house is even better in person. I would definitely stay here again! The owners are very friendly and accomodating too. It's a real adobe house with very thick walls, so it was very quiet and stayed nice and cool during the hot desert days. I was there with a group and we all loved it!

Summary: This home (No Way Dude Ranch) is BEAUTIFUL! The new back patio is wonderful. I can’t wait to return to see the outdoor kitchen in place. The decor is perfect and the house is well stocked. In addition it is just outside Saguaro National Park. The Arizona Desert Museum is also quite close. It’s a perfect location! I want to return!

Summary: We attend the Tucson Gem Shows every year, and this home was truly one of the best gems we found. The house is so unique thanks to all the owner's personal touches and wonderful artwork. It was comfortable, well-appointed and in a perfect location for our needs. Gary and Deborah were great hosts, communicative and helpful when needed. We've already reserved for next year!

Summary: This was a home away from home in a quiet and picturesque setting. Amenities were top class and the home is decorated beautiful throughout. The architectural features were also lovely.
