In this village on the banks of the Loire, between Angers and Nantes, you will be charmed by this old house with 3 levels, with noble materials (tiles, old parquet flooring, tuffeau stone characteristic of the Loire, etc.) and its terrace. 60m² facing south overlooking the Loire.
On the ground floor, you will have a living room with television, an equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, dishwasher, induction hob, etc.) with direct access to the terrace. To warm up in winter after long walks, you can use the wood stove (wood not provided).
On each floor, you will find two bedrooms sharing the same bathroom with bathtub and WC: one has two 90cm beds and the other has a 160x200cm double bed. The bathrooms are adjoining one of the bedrooms and do not have independent access. A separate toilet is located on the ground floor.
Outside, you will enjoy a beautiful terrace with garden furniture, deck chairs and parasol, an ideal place to relax and admire the Loire which varies over the hours and with the seasons. For your comfort and to lighten your suitcases, the beds are made upon your arrival and bathroom linen is provided. The owners, passionate about history and antique objects, will be happy to share the history of this village with you.
The cottage does not have private parking but you can park in the surrounding streets or in the free public car park 50m away.
Historic border between Anjou and Brittany and a former merchant port, the village offers numerous services (crêperie, pizzeria, bar and restaurants, etc.) and seasonal entertainment as well as a beach on the other side of the Loire in summer. You can also stroll on foot or by bike on the Loire à Vélo circuit and discover the surrounding villages (Saint Florent le Vieil and its abbey church, Chalonnes sur Loire and its market, Béhuard Island, etc.) or fish along the banks of the Loire. Angers and its gentleness is 30 minutes away (20 minutes by train) and if you prefer Nantes, its journey and its famous machines, you will reach it in 50 minutes by car or in 30 minutes by train, the station being 10 minutes away walk. Other activities nearby: the Loire wine route, the Château de Serrant in St Georges sur Loire, cruises on the Loire, canoe rental. Summary: Excellent location on bank of Loire with good sized decked garden. Large house, nice bedrooms, kitchen well equipped and 2 large bathrooms. Easy to park nearby, friendly atmosphere in the village, couple of restaurants and tabac, decent supermarket. Helpful owners easy to get hold of. Never got the TV working, and WiFi feeble upstairs. Ingrandes is quiet and possibly not ideal for teenagers unless they are into running or cycling. Easy drive to Angers. Would be very happy to stay here again. Didn't try the trains but hourly to nantes mornings and evenings.
