Positive: It is a wonderful mountain lodge--extremely comfortable, warm and with views of the dramatic Chic Choc mountains out every enormous window. The food was plentiful and very good, the staff friendly and helpful. Amazing series of hiking trails right out the door, led by terrific guides (Ariane, Simon and Jean) who point out and explain flora and fauna along the way. It was everything we hoped for and more--including visits from several moose right out the front door. Because there is no internet service, guests are "forced" to look up and actually interact with each other. It made for a lively (if you wanted it to be) meal time, but there is plenty of quiet to be found if that's what you prefer. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Positive: I loved the pristine location with easy access to hikes of all lengths. There were no shortage of activities. Beautiful, quiet room, totally unplugged. The meals were substantial and the homemade granola bars, I adored.

Negative: I hated the family style service at supper which was super uncomfortable. I didn’t enjoy the forced small talk with strangers and would have preferred the option of a quiet table with my husband.
