Positive: Evening meal used local ingredients and was simple and excellent. The breakfast was delicious with croissants and fresh bread with butter and strawberry jam. We were also offered cheese. Coffee was unlimited and there was orange juice. Staff were very friendly and recognised us ( and our dog) from a previous visit.

Negative: Nothing. This is a simple auberge in a very traditional small village

Positive: Beautiful old auberge in a very pretty part of Champagne. The courtyard and dinning areas were very charming. The courtyard in particular was a great spot to hang out with a coupe de champagne after our long bike ride from Epernay. The little village of Baulne-en-brie was beautiful as well, but be aware that there are no other businesses there besides this auberge -- no stores or restaurants, no bakery. The host was also charming and very helpful facilitating our bike tour.

Negative: Our room was quite small and could use an update. It was clean and everything worked well, however. The bed was quite comfortable, but only had 1 pillow per person.

Summary: Made a great overnight stop off on our three day bike tour of champagne.
