Positive: Lovely big bedroom, living room and bathroom. The best thing though was the incredible location, one of the best in Assos for the view. Christos was a lovely host, helpful and really friendly.

Negative: Road to get to the property wasn’t for the feint hearted, one track and very hilly but it was quiet

Positive: A well-kept and beautiful villas in a perfect location, just a 2-minute easy walk from the center. All villas offer beautiful views. If you’re willing to pay a bit more, the most stunning view of all is from the “Panorama” villa. The hosts are truly wonderful. This place is perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Negative: A small inconvenience in hot summer days is the strict electricity and air conditioning saving system. You have to insert the keychain into a slot to activate the power in the villa. When stepping out to the villa’s balcony, you’re forced to choose between removing the key (which cuts off all electricity, including the A/C) or leaving the villa door open so you don’t get locked out. Either way, the central A/C will shut off while you’re sitting outside, and the villa will heat up inside. When you come back in, you have to start cooling it down again — which means enduring several long minutes of intense heat.

Positive: We stayed in Villa Petrino. It’s light and airy, and all the rooms - lounge/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom - are a really good size, with all the amenities you could need. There’s a large private outdoor space, with lots of area to catch the sun or find some shade. And it’s great to have the plunge pool to cool off in. The views are stunning. We’ve enjoyed watching the boats coming in and out of the beach/harbour area of this beautiful town. Christos and Julia were very welcoming and responsive hosts, staying up past 11pm to greet us when we arrived and instantly helping if we needed anything. The basket of goodies - food, wine and beer - was a very thoughtful and much appreciated touch. There was also a mini book collection on some of the shelves which we took advantage of, swapping some of the books we had read for those already there. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Positive: The villa is in a phenomenal location, with a short walk down some steps to a calm swimming beach, a lovely taverna and boat hire from the quayside. It is well appointed with a well equipped kitchen and maintained in good condition. We had a very warm welcome from our hosts.

Negative: The steps down from the parking area and down to the harbour can be challenging for those with a disability. We also found the seating less comfortable for the elderly.

Summary: A magical week in a magical location - we recaptured the Greece of our youth!

Positive: Everything was perfect. The villa is extremely clean, modern, comfortable and has everything you need. The best part is pool. When you arrive you will get a welcome pack with snacks and soft and alcoholic drinks.

Positive: Beautiful tastefully decorated and lovely property, great shutters and air conditioning, spotlessly clean, very well appointed with all fixtures and fittings. The place was first class. The position above Assos habour was superb, if so inclined you could sit there all day watching the sailing boats come and go. 3 Taverners, a snack bar and a take away in the village 5 minutes walk away and 2 shops all similar distance. There are steps to the property it is on the side of a hill so if you are not good on your "legs" be careful. But once there providing you had supplies you could sit and take it easy reading a book and wathcing the world go by. Lovely place. Swimming from virtually private cove 150 yards away up the path out of the village, if you are a good swimmer there is a private beach 100m swim from there to private beach only accessible by swimming or boat. Christos and family on top of all that made it even more special, meeting us to show us how to find the place, helping with luggage, cleaning half way through the week, and buying us cakes FIRST CLASS we hope to return.
