Positive: It was a real pleasure staying in this house! We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay for two more nights. The house is incredibly comfortable, located in a quiet and relaxing village away from the crowds, yet close enough to reach some amazing beaches. The warm welcome from aunt Antonia made it even more special—thank you for the hospitality and the wonderful vibes :)

Positive: The house is really cute spacious and very well equipped. The owners were very reactive. The bed are especially comfortable. The bathroom is very nice. The house is very well located to enjoy zakros and the surrounding area.

Positive: Each day we felt even more comfortable in our appartment. Airco, if needed, in each room. Aunt Antonía, 84 years young, lives on the other side of the street. In the street no trafic. Parking place guaranteed only 20m further. Location is superb: in the little town of Ano Zakros you are accepted, if you wish and dare, as a local. Estiatório Pontios offers good food for a very cheap price, the owners are friendly and kind to each of their clients. Tip: walk from Ziros to Zakros, stay some afternoons at the coast in Kato Zakros and in Xerokampos. Enjoy!

Positive: The beds were of good quality and the location was great in the small village. We slept well well both nights. Big bathrooms and plenty of towels. We were woken up by the sounds of the church bells which we liked.

Negative: We found this place to be the least welcoming of all our stay in Crete (and this was my third time on Crete). Had to chase up to receive the check in instructions, the owners never ever came but gave the key to their lovely neighbour, there was not even one bottle of water in the fridge, no shower gel (quickly brought once flagged). In spite of the two bedrooms, storage space was limited. It was dark inside, no living room but a big kitchen with a huge table taking all the space. No laundry product either. Cleaning products invading the shower which made it not pretty to say the least and we noticed dirt under the beds and behind doors.

Summary: Definitely not your typical Cretan experience

Positive: A beautifully kitted out home, so many lovely touches. The owners were so helpful when my car broke down 6km away - I was on my own and pretty scared. I rang them and they just got a local garage to come straight out and rescue.me - wonderful. The owners aunt who lived next door was really lovely and friendly too. All in all, I couldn't have felt more cared for. Add to this the beautiful accomodation and lovely location, and it really couldn't have been any better . Huge thanks

Positive: Lovely comfy beds, fluffy towels, crisp sheets, super friendly Aunt across the road delivering fruit and other gifts. Fabulous shower and bathroom. The kitchen/dining area is a really convivial space.
