Positive: Stunning property in beautiful area close to lots of lovely walks in the Ashdown Forest. The room was large and very comfortable, though we did find it very hot. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
Negative: We were disappointed that the swimming pool had children’s swimming times both on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning- the times we had been hoping to use the pool. We stayed on site a little later though so we could enjoy the facilities after check out.
Summary: A beautiful stay in the countryside and excellent service from all the staff working there.

Positive: Amazing experience. The facilities are incredible, it was like staying in a castle. Decoration matches perfectly everywhere. For those who say that it is "outdated" clearly don't know the definition of that word. It is perfectly ambiented, decorated and furnished as in the 50s ish, but with brand new equipment. Breakfast was superb and the staff were super courteous and kind. The green area around the hotel invites you to get out for a long walk.
Summary: Amazing!!!

Positive: The hotel grounds are lovely as well as lounge, foyer and dining room. Restaurant food was nice if a tad expensive. Cherry on the cake which made the stay worth our while was the snow we got upon waking up! A definite bonus...
Negative: Heating in our room took a while to get started as we were not allocated the right room initially but it was good when it heated up!
Summary: Stately but comfortable!

Positive: Great location, beautiful property and the staff were accommodating and very kind. Afternoon tea was delicious and the breakfast was very good quality. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Negative: For the price of our suite we didn’t expect to have stains all over the carpet, didn’t expect the shower temperature to fluctuate and would have liked a decent hairdryer (get better hairdryers in premier inns!) The communal areas of the hotel are stunning but our suite felt very dated and not very well kept. My husband stayed in a basic room a few years ago and said it was nicer and more comfortable than our suite.
Summary: Glad we stayed but probably wouldn’t again

Positive: Beautiful house set in Ashdown Forest, the suit was delightful with views overlooking the garden and lake. The bar and restaurant were good although the bar staff were slow and forgot our order so we waited 30mins, they also brought wine without a cooler and brought one over 15mins later.
Negative: The bathroom in the suit was tired and old, the bath was stained, the shower it’s self was hard to turn on and off, the cold tap had hot water coming out of it and the toilet took an age to refill after a flush, the towel rail needs to be replaced, the bathroom let the suit down. The restaurant food was of good quality and cooked extremely well but it came out fast, starter before our aperitif and then main was also brought out without much resting time from finishing the starter….. maybe slow the service down a tad for food but get the bar staff to work a little faster.
Summary: An enjoyable night stay, good food but a few tweeks would make all the difference

Negative: Nothing
Summary: Highly recommend
