Positive: This place was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff tried to fulfill any needs that we had. My friend, who I was traveling with, was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, and they did their best to tweak the menu so that she could eat without any problem. The onsen was amazing, too, with different outdoor baths and sauna. Sadly, we just stayed there for a night, but it was an experience we won't forget.
Summary: Stunning Onsen Resort

Positive: Beautiful room with view to mountains, lovely onsen
Negative: The shuttle bus to Kotohira only leaves once a day - making an early departure difficult for foreign travellers without a car. This was not clear in the facility information about free shuttle service. We would have appreciated information in English about walks and things to do etc in local area.
Summary: Extremely comfortable relaxing onsen experience
