Positive: The location and the resort is beautiful

Negative: The staff were very new and needed a bit more attention to the clients, especially at the restaurant where sometimes it took a while to be served. Also there wasn’t anywhere clear to refill water bottles which meant having to buy bottled water in a glass bottle which means more expensive than normal bottled water. Other than that a very nice stay and wonderful resort!

Summary: Beautiful resort and perfect for a retreat by the beach!

Positive: The staff is very friendly and really does their best to make your stay pleasant. The food is okay, nothing special but decent.

Negative: The price-quality ratio feels off for Indonesia. The resort is quite empty at the moment, which is nice if you value peace and quiet, but it doesn’t feel very alive yet. They’re still building parts of the place, and many facilities like a gym and/or a spa aren’t here (I am not sure if they ever will be). The area also looks a bit unfinished, with palms and landscaping not fully grown in. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is poor, and there’s barely any LTE connection, which makes it hard to stay connected. Overall, it might have potential in the future, but right now it feels too expensive for what you get.

Positive: Stunning resort right on the beach . Layed back vibe and secluded location make it the perfect romantic escape . Hotel staff always attentive to our needs . Menu extensive and covers most food preferences. Large selection of cocktails and drinks list. The hotel also offers day tour options which we really enjoyed , it was great to get out and see Sumba's waterfalls , traditional villages , lagoons and beaches . The hotel also offers horse riding along the beach ,the horses were healthy and well cared for . Sumba truly is a beautiful place with beautiful people.

Negative: The hotel is still being built but we knew this before coming so had little impact on us .

Positive: A real paradise on Sumba! Crystal clear water, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent service. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, especially at sunset. This hotel was amazing for us. The design is in local style, very natural and beautiful, so we felt the real spirit of Sumba. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was always tasty. The staff were kind and smiling all the time. Around the hotel there are wonderful trips. To small villages, to the beach, and into the nature. The sunset view in the evening was something we will never forget.

Negative: There's nothing specific to pinpoint that we didn't like. I dare to say that it fulfilled my expectations

Positive: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The gardens were great. The room was nice enough. The location was great for viewing sunsets over the ocean. The restaurant and pool area was well designed. The food was great and the chef was happy to go off menu for us to let us try local dishes.

Negative: The shower was rusty and the piping had holes, which was surprising for a relatively new hotel. They didn’t offer a ton of activities that appealed to us. The road getting there was pretty rough at times.

Positive: the place is amazing, and is going to look great in the future. The manager was super nice with the refund when we tell them we were leaving a couple of night earlier.

Negative: Is still under construction, felt like a construction pit with a lot of nice A lot of people working in the area so you did not feel a lot of privacy. Restaurant food could be a lot better, we did not like it at all and end up eating in nearby hotels a lot.
