Positive: Clean modern apartment with up to date facilities. Edinburgh was within walking distance and bus stops are within walking distance if needs. Very quiet street also.

Negative: It states on street parking but don’t be fooled! You need to apply for a permit before you go so if you don’t know your registration or you’re hiring a car, then you will have to park elsewhere and hump all your luggage from the car park which is apparently a 10 min walk away somewhere. I ended up with a ticket because of this as I was only told it was “parking on street” and it states this in here too.

Positive: Heated floor in the bathroom, dishwasher , different array of mood lights, really nice coffee, dropping off extra towel, good heating system, bed was really comfy, really good shower, immaculately clean all over

Negative: Pods for coffee machine didn’t work, door not the easiest to unlock, time of the towel drop off( maybe need a safe space for a drop off) bigger glasses, tap in bathroom was the wrong way round (cold was hot vic-a-versa )

Summary: Would definitely stay here again if we were in Edinburgh

Positive: Comfortable, convenient with excellent facilities.

Negative: My only problem was that the front was jammed in the frame so that although I could partially turn the lock the door was stuck fast. After advice from the contact agent I pushed the door hard and freed it. Some simply maintenance could fix the problem.

Summary: Enjoyable, comfortable and convenient and somewhere that I will look for in future.

Positive: The room was great and looked exactly like it was in the photos. The location was fantastic for us visiting a relative in Stockbridge and was very quaint - the kind of road you would expect to see in a small village. You can walk into the city centre within 1/2 hour and to the station in approx 40 mins. It was well-equipped, particularly in the kitchen and also included an iron, ironing board and hairdryer, which we hadn't realised. There was also a pod coffee maker and pods provided.

Negative: There could have been instructions, as we had a struggle getting hot water - we hadn't realised everything is switched off upon arrival apart from the electricity for the lights and plugs, so we had to locate the switch for the boiler in a cupboard and switch it on. We also didn't realise at first that the fridge-freezer was also switched off. Perhaps a little booklet explaining key aspects like this would help, as we had assumed everything would be ready to use. Other than that, everything was great. Seagulls are noisy during the night - an Edinburgh-wide problem and nothing the host can do anything about! The location is probably not great for people who are not so good on their feet, if their aim is to keep going into the city centre as there is a big hill to climb to get into the city - they would be advised to go for a city centre location, as the centre itself is already very hilly - unless of course they get a bus!

Positive: Great location for centre of Stockbridge, close to restaurants coffee shops Parks and an easy walk to Edinburgh centre, whilst very peaceful.

Negative: Bathroom basin rather small and no heated towel rail in the summer, but a small price to pay for such a great studio.

Positive: Clean and modern open plan apartment, ideal for our short city break. The location is good - nearby shops, restaurants and a bakery, a big park to walk through and a choice of pubs. Only 15min walk from the centre of the city, taking in the Royal Circus on the way.

Negative: Not much! The facilities were good and even included tea and coffee - along with fridge, freezer, washing machine, small kitchen, toaster... There was no parking outside and permit or restricted parking in the immediate area but we found a free on-road spot about 10min walk away.

Summary: Great for couples, good location and close to the city.
