Summary: The location and natural surroundings were stunning. We loved the view, the sound of the waves, and the tranquility. The beach, decks, and exterior furniture were fantastic. Large windows let in so much light, and the WiFi was strong enough for remote work. However, there are some issues. The second bed is just a mattress on the floor, and the first bed was uncomfortable, causing back pain. Basic cooking supplies were minimal, and cell service is spotty. The house leaks when it rains, causing a musty smell. Cleanliness needs improvement—we found mouse droppings and dead bugs. The water is potable but has a strong, unpleasant odor (iron). The owner lets you know after you book to bring in water, but the ad should be updated so people are aware before booking. We did not appreciate the presence of mice and the lack of response from the host. We sent a note halfway through mentioning the high mouse activity and that we caught a mouse with the traps Creighton set up after we called him. The host never responded. Creighton was responsive and helped take care of the mouse, but it would have been nice for the owner to acknowledge our complaint. The furniture was uncomfortable, with no good seating options. While the location was wonderful, the cleanliness, comfort, and communication issues impacted our stay.

Summary: For anyone who wants to escape civilization and convene with nature this is a gem. Some sacrifices have to made…. Food and drinking water are not close but in exchange you are greeted with sounds of waves and birds who don’t seem to recognize humans :)

Summary: Looking for a space away from the city and people to do some writing and resting, I found this little bit of heaven. The space was perfect for my needs - spacious, functional, creative. Nothing to distract other than the slow rhythm of the ocean waves. I stayed for 2 weeks but wish I could have stayed longer.

Summary: Wonderful and relaxing cottage if your looking for luxury this is not for you but the rustic setting is so calming. You have to sit on deck at night the stars were spectacular.

Summary: This is an amazing house that is full of art and has a gorgeous view! But it’s far away from everything, including grocery stores or restaurants, and the kitchen is tiny with only a little fridge and two induction burners—nothing else to cook in or on, so meals were a bit of a challenge. The water is also very iron rich, so it smells, and stains some things orange; plus you need to bring in your own drinking water. But if you’re looking for privacy and seclusion, this is your place! After Creighton let us in we didn’t see or hear another human being anywhere near or on the property. Sitting on either one of the two decks and enjoying the ocean view was a wonderful experience.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at the retreat which has breathtaking views and a wonderful aesthetic. There could have been some more thought put into guest comfort and convenience (perhaps a microwave and some more comfortable seating) but overall we had a great time.
