Positive: Argoed Barn was in the perfect position for us being close to the church and reception for our son’s wedding. We were greeted by our host Richard soon after we arrived and who was very welcoming . Despite the heavy rain and hail at times during the weekend of our stay, the barn was warm and quiet with the addition of a lovely lake where we watched the ducks, morehens and geese. The living area in the barn certainly had the wow factor and made socialising with our family and friends easy. The kitchen area was well equipped and there was always plenty of hot water. Bedrooms were cosy and comfortable and the bath and shower rooms were spotlessly clean with the most powerful showers we have had. We would definitely recommend Argoed Barn and will certainly return.

Negative: There was nothing any of the 6 of us who stayed at the barn didn’t like but a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms would have been useful for this ‘mother of the groom!’.

Summary: Staying at Argoed Barn helped make our son’s wedding memorable for all the right reasons. Thank you Claire & Richard

Positive: Absolutely beautiful holiday home with really modern appliances and everything you need. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even brought us over some fresh eggs from their chickens! The log burner was lovely to have going in the evening but even without it the place is lovely and warm due to underfloor heating. Our children loved the place too and really enjoyed seeing the ducks and chickens that are around. We stayed due to having a wedding nearby and would definitely return should we need to visit the area in the future
