Positive: The room was huge and really clean. The house is at 3min drive to Kirkwall town, very convenient. We unfortunately couldn't try the "real" breakfast because we had an early ferry, but the host left us a nice to go breakfast that was more than ok.

Positive: Theresa made a great breakfast, and packed us a breakfast to go the morning we left, which was very much appreciated. The walk in shower has so lovely. Theresa waited for us to arrived, which was around 11pm, as we can in on the ferry. There were hairy cows in the paddock next to the property. Parking was available next to the BnB. There is a lovely view of Kirkwall and the sea from the breakfast room.

Summary: Ardconnel BnB is a lovely place to stay, and Theresa is a wonderful host.

Positive: Great B&B just outside Kirkwall. Theresa went above and beyond to provide us with all the comforts (she even let us meet the cute Highland coos in the neighbouring field!). The room was quite big and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. If you're staying in this area, we highly recommend this B&B.

Positive: Good location out in rural area but close to town. Proprietor has thought of everything to keep you comfortable and decor is attractive. Excellent breakfast, and we even got to feed carrots to the Highland Cows!

Negative: Apple Maps sends you to house about a block short of Ardconnel, but not the property’s fault.

Summary: Delightful place to stay in midst of Orkney Island and good restaurants, amazing church, and prehistoric ruins close by

Positive: The Ardconnel is as good as it gets for us. The location is amazing and only a short distance from Kirkwall town centre. The host was welcoming and friendly and we were immediately at ease. The room was perfect and the breakfast was sensational. If we ever come to Orkney again we will be booking here.
