Positive: We travelled as a family of 4 and stayed at Archipelago in a sea-view casa for 3 nights. What an excellent place. The staff could not have been more helpful, the location at south beach was perfect, the accommodation was great, and the gardens were a beautiful bonus. The kitchen was well stocked, although we ate at the Sand Dollar restaurant on-site throughout. The food and service here were excellent, with the view of the beach and sea outstanding. The casas are well-spaced and really very good indeed in terms of size and quality. Only one other casa was occupied during our stay, which meant that the pool and restaurant were pleasantly quiet. At busier times it would be reasonable to expect more company in communal areas. Overall we loved it.

Positive: Archipelago is truly one of the most incredible places you could ever hope to visit. The casas are charming, large and spacious with air conditioning and a fantastic kitchen as well as a lovely veranda with the most beautiful view of the ocean. The staff are without a doubt the best team of staff I have ever encountered at and place I’ve ever stayed. They are friendly and ready to help and do their absolute best to accommodate your needs! Everything we ordered from the restaurant was absolutely delicious and plated well. The activities on offer are just brilliant - we did two horse rides with Mozambique Horse Safaris which is only a couple of minutes walk away. We absolutely loved every second of our stay and would recommend it to anyone. I very much look forward to returning to Archipelago and really feel that it’s an incredible gem of a place.

Positive: The place is really wonderful, there are 18 villas in a huge garden and half of them have seaview. OUr villa had 2 bedrooms downstairs (one double bed and 2 single beds) and 2 more single beds upstairs, there are 2 bathrooms, a veranda, a full serviced kitchen , sofas and dining room, plenty of space. The villa is fully made of wood and with nice decoration inside the house is cleaned every day, a barbecue outside is also available in the main building there is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner if needed, and a bar the lady who runs all this is super helpful, she helped us to change currency, to get local sim cards, to find a taxi driver and they can pick you up at the airport (we arrived from JOhburg with Airlink). there is direct access to the beach, and the area between the property and the beach has been refurbished completely after the cyclon and it is the best part of the beach of all Vilanculo . It is also very quiet, there is nobody apart from hotel guests, there are no people trying to sell something.

Negative: there is wifi only in the bar and restaurant, not in the villas even if we were alone in the restaurant, service is very slow, so the solution is to book in advance (even 2h before lunch or dinner) so that at the time you arrive at the restaurant, waiting time is just 10 minutes

Positive: Kirsti, Greg and the staff went out of their tomake our stay a memorable one. Restaurant meals were excellent - Clam Chowder, the best!Gardens and villas neat and well maintained..Villas however need more light.Fishing, snorkeling, Paella, on the island, awesome!

Negative: The dirt road from Vilanculo to Archipelago Lodge could do with some upgrade, even just a scrape from time to time.
