Positive: Cosy and spacious cottage in a serene and peaceful location right by the sea. The cottage had everything you needed for a couple of nights stay (or much longer!). It was even accessible via public transport and the Berwickshire coastal path was literally a few steps away. The beds and the living room space were really comfortable and the availability of board games and DVDs was a bonus. Finally - the hamper of food and drink upon arrival was a nice touch.

Negative: The cottage was not particularly cheap, even when booked last minute in the middle of winter. And despite a wood fire being advertised, no wood was provided, and we felt a little underhanded, given the price. The other main gripe was that the staff (as the cottage is run by a large company) weren't hugely helpful or responsive with questions about the booking or the local area. Unfortunately the local pub also seemed to have shutdown :-(.

Summary: Great base right on the coast, but not the cheapest!

Negative: The front bedroom window leaked water in all night for 4 days. It’s clearly done this before. As there was damp around the window. I messaged to ask if there was a travel cot, twice and had no response. There was also clearly an issue with the oven hob. So we couldn’t use it ! Not great. Was in guest book but hadn’t been sorted.

Summary: Was a great cottage and location but the property need improving

Positive: Very cracking/ crabbing place!. Enjoyed every single day we had. Beautiful side of the country, friendly neighbourhood. Just what we needed for our holiday!

Negative: The screeching chairs. We're not dare to move it...The dining table/area is too small for a family of 5 but we managed to eat and move the table at the lounge. Weak shower. Understandable for electric shower. If that can be changed that would be awesome. Had some comments before that oven don't work. It works but it's slow on cooking. Also dials markings gone so you kinda guessing which one which to turn. Again if there's an upgrade that would be perfect 😉

Negative: water pressure terrible , felt a bit neglected , needed decorating and furnishings cleaning unable to connect to wifi, not great that next guests arrived over an hour before we were due to leave ,
