Positive: For the price, apartments were really great and I would recommend you if you are looking for not priced accommodation with magical view. Also the host was so so sooo friendly and was asking me if we need anything from advance before the holiday itself and we were also in touch through the whole trip. (If you are pet friendly, you may also summon some cast if you “pspspsps” when hanging around accommodation)

Negative: Two separated beds merged into one weren’t really comfortable to sleep. Kitchen could be a bit better equipped (missing cutting board..)

Negative: The hill up and down from the apartment as it was really difficult if you are old with arthritic knees need a car for this location as the only shop and restaurants we're at the bottom of the hil

Positive: Amazing place for a relaxed holiday with a pool where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and surroundings. The apartment had all we needed and the host also considered that we'd sleep separately and gave us a place with a second bed + couch. Aptera is a little town with very nice inhabitants and a few places to eat so even without a car we had a great time! Thank you for everything :)

Positive: The location and the views were excellent. The host was very approachable, friendly and helpful. There was ample sun beds around the pool and the pool area was very good and clean. The availability of a washing machine and proper iron. The restaurants in the village were excellent. Local shop had all we needed. I would definitely recommend Aptera Paradise and we are definitely going to stay there again.

Negative: Nothing really although the room was basic it had everything we needed for our stay. Maybe a basic welcome pack with essentials could be given as an optional extra depending on when you arrive. It’s not a dislike more a realisation of my age and fitness level!! But the hill to get to the village and back!! 🫣 Also, it is not lit at night but that is not the fault of the accommodation it’s just an observation for future visitors to the accommodation. We just used our phone torches for a bit of light.

Summary: Our stay was all we wanted, a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

Positive: This place in June was a steal - so cheap and you get an amazing pool + view on a quiet location. The tavernas of the village have amazing local food, and you're only 15-20 minutes away by car from the heart of Chania. It's not fully renovated but very very well taken care of so again, as I said, a steal (very good) for the amount of money you pay!

Negative: The only thing I told them to replace was the showerhead, as the water was going in any direction possible haha. That's a simple thing so I am sure they'll take care of it. But to be honest as I said for the money we paid it was amazing value!!! So do not hesitate to book.

Positive: Magnificent views and trekking is amazing here. Super kind and helpful staff and great laundry services/facilities. The hotel is situated on a hillside of a mountain and this alone is worth a visit. The pool is good too. The village has a family taverna with excellent food.

Negative: Well, I never found the beach, even though it was supposed to be 1,5km away.. it is not really marked and maps does not find it. I had good treks on steep hills near the sea and we found beaches in the other places, so this was just a small thing. The pool compensates too.

Positive: Some of the most friendly and helpful staff I’ve ever come across with amazing studio rooms for the price. Amazing location, accessible by bus (7 minute uphill walk) or car with its own car park with amazing views. Lots of food options less than 2 minutes walk into Aptera with an even closer mini market that I would recommend for snacks and drinks. The owners also messaged me through WhatsApp and were on hand to help me with any issues I had or suggestions for activities and bus routes going forwards on my travels. They were happy to accommodate a later checkout time also which made the whole experience more comfortable! Clean rooms with lots of space and a really nice pool and poolside area, I would highly recommend!
