Positive: The apt was pretty clean. The beds were comfortable. The decorations were nice. The owner allowed us to check in early.

Negative: The kitchen was not well equipped. It lacked enough silverware, no big pots for cooking, no baking dishes, no measuring spoons or dry measuring cups, no replacement kitchen garbage bags. The knives were so dull, it barely cut thru apple skins. Because it lacked adequate kitchen supplies, we had to eat out for most meals! It does not have a dishwasher so dishes need to be washed by hand ( which is fine) but the kitchen sponge was obviously old and used. I had to go to the dollar store to buy a new sponge. There were no check in or check out instructions. I had to call the owner to get the info on the internet. Usually there is a note of some kind with that information. The place is a home that was divided into two rentals. We stayed in the the back apartment. The second night we were there, a group arrived in the front apartment. They were up until 4:00am, being very loud, which kept us up. Because there were only locked doors separating the two units, we could hear them. The booking says there is a washer and dryer, which there was, but you had pay for it! You also had to download an app, which required you to load money on it, which I did, but the app only gives you certain denominations to pick from. I now have an app with money on it that I will never use again. The booking should state that you have to download an app and pay to do laundry.

Summary: The place was ok, but I would not stay there again.

Positive: The apartment is half of a charming house. There is an apartment upstairs and one downstairs. The price is very affordable. It was very quiet at night, and the bed/bedding was very comfortable. We've stayed at hotels nearby in the past and preferred staying here much more. We liked the wood floors rather than carpet. The owner was very responsive and accommodating when we had questions prior to our stay. We definitely will stay again while visiting family in the area.
