Negative: The final night had a terrible knocking noise above my bed and it didn't stop. Other nights it started around 7.30pm & finished around 10.30pm Which was ok as we were out for dinner most of that time.

Positive: The Hotel offered excellent service via incredibly polite staff. The authentic Japanese room was a pleasure. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. One had to embrace Japanese food though particularly for Breakfast. Use of a private Onsen was and added bonus.

Positive: Silky onsen water. Delicious meals. 2x Private onsen (Wood+Rock style) without reservation from 1500-2300. Just take the key and use it for up to 40min. Comfortable room. Tastefully decorated common area. Free coffee and various kinds of tea at the lobby.
