Positive: This is a 3 bedroom apartment, the entire second floor of a duplex building with a beautiful view. It has everything a house has; a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, washing machine and drying rack. Bed was comfortable. A few things took a while to figure out, as Italian systems are different from North American, but we asked our questions and got answers from our hostess who lives downstairs. For example, how to turn heat up. Parking is within a gated yard and the property is close to Montepulciano and to a variety of restaurants. We knew ahead of time that maneuvering around the old hilltop towns with cars is difficult so we chose to stay outside of the town itself and drive into Montepulciano when we wanted to, and explore Tuscany with day trips. This worked out well.

Negative: The neighbours dogs bark. If you are sensitive to noise, I would suggest choosing the front bedroom. That should mitigate the issue.

Positive: The location of the property is absolutely stunning. Waking up in the morning overlooking the Tuscan countryside was a joy. In the evening viewing the stars over the olive grove was a delight. The property is on a quiet road a 6 min drive into the centre of Montepulciano old town. It is the perfect base for visiting the area. The property itself was big enough for a family and the beds were very comfortable. The property feels very loved and we felt very at home here for the week

Negative: There is nothing the host can do but the dogs from the farm are a little loud. If you are a light sleeper you may wish to consider this or sleep in the back bedroom where they can not be heard

Positive: The location came with a quintessential Tuscan Landscape, with the balcony revealing rolling hills and cultivated farms with a view to the lake. We enjoyed freshly picked figs, grapes and snacks Tina provided. Tina was a welcoming and attentive host who provided information on exceptional sites to see and places to sample local wines and cuisine. Highly recommended for a leisurely stay. I would happily spend a week is such a centrally located and surrounded by views and nature.

Positive: Wow! We had the most wonderful stay! Our host was an absolute angel and was there any time we needed something. Such a beautiful property, with an amazing view, and a gorgeous garden filled with pear and prune trees. The apartment was beautifully designed, just like our Nonna lived there herself. Tina, thank you for your amazing motherly hospitality.. you went above and beyond for us! We will miss you greatly, and we can’t wait to come back again!

Positive: Apartment is fully equipped (kitchen, washing machine). It has very rustical feeling, almost living in someone's home. However very clean. Beautiful countryside, 5 min away by car from Montepulciano (you need a car, but there is free parking on the property)

Negative: Tuscany is very expensive, especially Val d'Orcia. The Apartment could use a remodeling, not a typical fancy place

Summary: We stayed only one night. but the apartment has everything also for longer stays
