Positive: it was spacious and close to the Matterhorn lift. Very well equipped kitchen

Negative: there was only one bathroom which could be a struggle with 6 people but we managed fine.

Summary: lovely light alpine appartment with views of the Matterhorn and Zermatt town from the two balconies

Positive: It was a self-catering apartment so the breakfast was not included. The apartment is in a great quiet area but close to the town centre. Access was either by a steep path or a lift so there was no issues

Negative: We made an error when we booked it as we did not put the kids on so the booking technically was for 2 adults. The apartment was a double room and a separate room with two single beds. We rang the host prior to arriving to let them know. It was disappointing to be then charged an additional 150 francs in cash when we came to check out. If we had put the kids on the original booking.com it would have made no difference. We did not see the host and we only found this out on the last night via a booking.com message and a bill under the door so we did not even have the opportunity to discuss this. A bit sad really as we have stopped here at least 4 times previosly.

Summary: A fantastic apartment and a great resort although the resort is becoming eye wateringly expensive

Positive: We LOVED the views and apartment itself. Everything was clean and easy to use. The location was amazing and the double balcony was incredible. I hope to go back one day.

Negative: Washing machine stopped working, our clothes were stuck inside. I messaged our host on whatsapp and in the booking app for assistance and never got a response.

Positive: We love the outlook and the fact that there were cows in the nearby paddock with bells attached around their necks that used to come up every morning and chew the grass metres away from our apartment. There were many little things that were also very good in the well appointed apartment such as: the extra long quilts and the extra large towels. Despite being on the side of the valley, the interesting lift access to the level that the apartment block was on was most welcome. Whilst we didn’t have a view of the Matterhorn, we could see beautiful hill sides and snowcapped mountains – when the weather was fine of course. Being a little out of Zermatt meant that it was relatively quiet and that’s what we needed for a good break from rather hectic time in Switzerland and Germany.

Summary: A beautiful apartment in the fresh mountain air of Zermatt.
