Summary: We enjoyed our short stay in this very clean, cosy and comfortable apartment situated in a unique and amazing medieval village. The apartment is well equipped with all you need and has such a lovely feel to it. We would highly recommend it! We had a wonderful visit, Peille is such a fabulous interesting place steeped in history. What a great escape! Spectacular views from the war monument on the hilltop over to Nice. Took lots of great photos from there and we also watched the sunset from there too. The sun setting made the lighting super for taking photos. Loved all the mountains and the houses built into the rocks, wow! Visited Monaco and enjoyed a visit to the Musee Oceanographique with its amazing aquarium and seeing the famous Palace of Monaco and the Monte Carlo casino. Visited Menton, love all the fragrant citrus tree lined streets both in Monte Carlo and Menton as well as all the palm trees. Never seen so many palm trees. Just wonderful. Whilst in Menton we walked across the border into Italy and had a coffee. We Loved it all. C’est magnifique! Denis is a lovely Gentleman. He is friendly, kind and helpful. We were able to establish a good rapport with him and he was very patient when conversing with us, especially as we were using limited French we have only just recently learned. On the night before we left he kindly invited us for a drink to the local Creperie bar next door and we met some of his friends from the village there who were so welcoming. We are keen to return as swiftly as we can as we are missing the village and the lovely people of Peille...Thank you Denis for making our stay just wonderful. Richard & Jan (Wales, UK).

Summary: We loved staying here! Peille is an old hill town, a lovely, quiet place to walk around, with just a couple of small restaurants, a bar, a boulangerie, and an arts-and-crafts store. Some buildings date back to the 11th and 12th century. It's small enough that by the second day people in the streets were greeting us--small enough that the people in Peille who make (delicious) olive oil have to sell it in the next town over, which is a bit bigger, because there's no store in the village. Cars can't pass through the narrow streets, which means that a) all you hear are the sounds of winds, birds, and people; but b) if you are driving you have to park at the edge of town and walk in. We didn't mind the walk at all, but it might be a problem for people with limited mobility. Despite its somewhat remote location, Peille and the area around it were surprisingly (to us) vital, with lots of local concerts, movies, and art shows. It didn't hurt that we were there during the World Cup, which the whole village seemed to be watching on a TV in the central square. Dennis was a terrific host, willing to put up with our limited French. The apartment, reached by going up a narrow flight of stairs to the second floor (in US terms), was well-stocked and had two bedrooms and a fine view of the hills. There are no hotels, so if you want to stay in a place like this, VRBO may be your only option. Fortunately, it's quite a good option. As I said, we loved our time there.

Summary: The apartment is exactly as shown: very clean, very cute, and well equipped - had everything needed for dinners in. Peille is incredibly charming and worth exploring, and is just minutes from Monaco and Nice. Denis is extremely helpful and very patient with my wife's rudimentary French. Parking is available in a nearby lot. Bus service to La Turbie and Nice is convenient and inexpensive, but the schedule is limited. Excellent stay, and we're hoping to visit again in the future.

Summary: We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Deni's apartment in this beautiful and quaint village. The accommodations were comfortable and well equipped. It made a cozy and convenient location from which to visit Nice, Monaco and Eze. Parking was available in the town lot and we were able to drive in a bit closer for loading and unloading the car. Denis did not let his little English and our little French become a barrier to our communication, as he sought out a friend from the village to help translate! We had the pleasure of having dinner at a village restaurant run by Remy. He was a warm, interesting, amiable guy who took a genuine interest in our family. We also availed ourselves of the local boulangerie. The village itself was full of photo opportunities and historical interest. Finally, the views up and down the mountain were spectacular.

Summary: We had a great time in Peille, and this apartment is a great place to stay, right in the middle of this amazing and beautiful medieval village. While we were planning our visit, Denis answered all our questions promptly via emails (in French, no problem, we used online translation tools). He greeted us upon our arrival and helped us bring our bags in from the public parking area nearby. Parking is reasonably convenient, we usually found a spot in the lot closest to the apartment during our April visit. We don't speak much French, and Denis speaks limited English, but we had no problem communicating. It was a pleasure meeting him! He helps us with all our needs. He was available (just upstairs) if we had any problems, but all went perfectly smoothly. The apartment was great, just as nice as represented in the descriptions. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked several meals there. Bathroom is modern and comfortable. The entire apartment was spotless clean and in great shape. The village streets are pedestrian only, so you must walk in, but it is only a short walk from the city-edge parking areas. Only one flight of stairs to get up to the apartment. Very comfortable and pleasant! We highly recommend this apartment! The village of Peille was wonderful. It is a real village with real people living and working there, and everyone we met was very welcoming, friendly, and pleasant. A slow, tranquil, and pleasant place. Services there are limited right now, for example there are no ATM machine in town, only a few restaurants, and you must pay attention to what times and days the village restaurants and stores are open. Not touristy at all! In short, a great way to experience French mountain village life, not as a tourist but more as a "local". If you want more shop or restaurant choices, night life, etc., the big towns on the coast are just a short drive away. In short, this was a fantastic experience for us, we highly recommend this place. Thanks again, Denis, for our wonderful stay!

Summary: Pielle is a great little known location in the hills between and behind Monaco and Nice. The view from the accommodation down to the coast was amazing. Although our host Denis had little English we managed quite well and he was very patient with us. The accommodation is a authentic, and everything worked well. The entire village is amazingly quiet and yet you are no now than 30 minute drive from the coast and lots of attraction. Just make sure you take the right road there. We didn't and whilst the other road gets you there, its very narrow and windy. Make sure you visit Eze, it was a highlight for us as was a visit to the perfume factory. If you want to go self catered don't rely on Peille for your groceries. Just down the lane from the apartment is a great little bar and crepe bar run by Joel who will make you a great coffee.

Summary: I loved our stay in Peille. The village is a constant photo opportunity. Denis is always available to help with any questions you have. The apartment is spacious and fully equipped. The village has 3-4 restaurants so one is always open. And the Via Ferrata just outside the village is fantastic. Our stay here was one of the highlights of my trip.

Summary: The best accomodations are waiting the travelers in this lovely appartment. Extremely clean and well maintain. Excellent quality linen in the bed room. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking wonderful French meals with all items picked up at the market close by. the description of the apartment is very accurate so there are no bad surprises. The owner Denis is very welcoming and cordial and always available to help you when necessary. The view from the bed room is magnificent. a great get away from the tumultous French Riviera but so close to it, it take no time to get to the beach when you want to. .
